  • Palestinians, Jordanians expand alliance to torpedo Trump's peace plan

The Palestinians and the Jordanians have set up a joint council for the administration of the Temple Mount and other Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem in an effort to preemptively torpedo the advancement of US President Donald Trump’s regional peace plan.

Yoni Ben-Menachem, a veteran Arab affairs and diplomatic commentator for Israel radio and television and a senior Middle East analyst for the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, revealed this information to Israel Hayom in an exclusive report.

Ben-Menachem told the Hebrew daily that the move constitutes “a violation of the Oslo agreement and seriously harms Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem.”

Senior Fatah officials confirmed that cooperation has been accelerated ahead of the peace plan, which Trump said he will reveal shortly after the April 9 elections in Israel.
The first steps were taken only days ago and comes, according to the report. A senior Fatah official said the move was because the Jordanians and the Palestinians fear that within the framework of the regional peace plan, responsibility for the Temple Mount will be transferred to a joint Arab-Islamic council, granting Saudi Arabia official status around the al-Aqsa mosque.

In contrast, a senior Arab diplomat told the Hebrew daily that the move was made with the agreement of Jordan and Saudi Arabia and was intended to soften Palestinian resistance to the peace plan.

It makes sense the King of Jordan doesn't want to relinquish his position over the mosque to either "internationalize Jerusalem" or to Israel.

How very strange. As all the articles are saying the Arab are insisting on the Arab Peace Initiative. But this article claiming....

Saudi Arabia is seeking to modify the Arab Peace Initiative in order to better align it with the Kingdom’s current warming of relations with Israel.
Citing senior sources close to the Palestinian Authority (PA), Al Khaleej Online reported yesterday that the Kingdom is seeking to make “basic changes” to the initiative, noting that these efforts are being led by the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdel-Aziz and his son, Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS).
But this one is claiming there is more wiggle room then what is being stated in public..
Meanwhile, the sources said, Arab countries brag about their commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative, “but this is completely different than what is being done behind closed doors”.
    and a lot more pressure...
Saudi Arabia informed PA President Mahmoud Abbas about this during his latest visit to the Kingdom, the sources said, and advised him to make progress towards peace talks with Israel.

I suspect this may not be as confusing as it may seem. And we may have proof soon.
The most significant statement could be...
In contrast, a senior Arab diplomat told the Hebrew daily that the move was made with the agreement of Jordan and Saudi Arabia and was intended to soften Palestinian resistance to the peace plan.

          It sure is interesting.
What we do know??? It would seem everyone is preparing the Palestinians for the fact it is going to happen. And indications are the Arabs and Jordan are working together to push them in that direction. Reassuring them the stories they heard in the past aren't about to become reality. But also the belief all of Israel is going to be Palestine isn't going to happen either. Which is interesting in itself and could be a very big hint.
Everything seems to be indicating two state.
          The big question is Jerusalem.
It's funny I don't get the impression the average Israeli really believes it.

One hint coming about Jerusalem I would say SAT is what is found in Mike Pence's speech in Warsaw!

                A reminder
“Today, Jews, Christians and Muslims, more than half the world’s population, and nearly all the people of the Middle East claim Abraham as their forefather in faith. And so he is.”
“I believe on that foundation of that Abrahamic tradition, we can find a firm foundation for a brighter future for all the people and all the faiths of the middle east. It doesn’t just simply have to be a part of our imagination. It is actually happening as we speak.”
“We need to look no further than the old city of Jerusalem as an example of what could be true for the region as a whole. There we see the followers of three great religions in constant contact with one another. We see each faith come together in new and renewed ways every day. “
“At Haram al-Sharif (The Dome of the Rock) we see young Muslims with their heads bowed in prayer. AT the Church of the Sepulcher we see a Christian child receiving her baptism. At the Western Wall, we see a young Jewish boy being Bar Mitzvahed.”
“What we see there, we can achieve all across the Middle East.”
“That is the vision that President Trump has. That is the hope and aspiration of peace-loving people in our nation and around the world.”
“I think we would do well to look to a promise that was made to that man I referred to who made that journey so many centuries ago. It was a promise in those ancient words I will surely bless you. I believe with all my heart that we can claim that blessing anew for all the people of this region, for ourselves and our posterity. I believe God will surely bless us with peace. So let us begin.”

Mike Pence: We need to look no further than the old city of Jerusalem....says it all......... to me

How can any born again believer call a religion whose God/Scripture has no Son great?

Adding....the Jerusalem Covenant remains of interest to me...The Covenant's main promoter Yehuda Glick was invited to President Trump's inauguration

Paragraph IV of the Jerusalem covenant

Today, as old, we hold fast to the truth of the words of the Prophets of Israel, that all the inhabitants of the world shall enter within the gates of Jerusalem; "And it shall come to pass at the end of days, the mountain of the House of the Lord will be well established at the peak of the mountains and will tower above the hills, and all the nations shall stream toweards it. "Each and every nation will live in it by its own faith:" "For all the nations will go forward, each with its own Divine Name; we shall go in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever, " And in this spirit the Knesset of the State of Israel has enacted a law: the places holy to the peoples of all religions shall be protected from any desecration and from any restriction of free access to them.
Above from Isaiah 2:2,3/Micah 4:12, but it contradicts Scripture (but is PC/all-inclusive), Scripture says only that they will worship the God of Jacob in these verses

Indeed and his trip to Morocco seems to defy the report about the peace deal first and visits after.

The signing of the bill suggests that diplomatic ties between both nations are moving in a good course. The expert said that Morocco is one of the strongest allies of the US in Africa, in North Africa and in the Middle East.

Nothing much, but a little addition..

The United States is beginning to prep allies for a spring rollout of its plan for Middle East peace, with President Donald Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, outlining the timing and methodology of the plan at the Middle East security conference in Warsaw, Poland.

U.S. Palestinian mission to merge with Israel embassy in March
The decision to create a single diplomatic mission was announced last October by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who did not say at the time when this would take place.

hmm another interesting piece of the puzzle. Would tend to lean Jerusalem as "international city" ???

                              lol or maybe not
The Trump administration has said that the city's final borders should be decided by the parties.
                              That makes it sound divided.
