Trump to discuss launch of Mideast peace plan with advisers this week — report

US President Donald Trump will meet with top advisers this week to review his administration’s Israeli-Palestinian peace plan and discuss the timing for its release, according to a television report on Sunday.
The meeting will be attended by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, National Security Adviser John Bolton, Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner, as well as Middle East peace envoy Jason Greenblatt, the Channel 10 report said. US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman traveled to Washington, DC, to attend the meeting as well.

Wondering what they decide...I would guess they will have to hurry up before Israeli elections if they want to deal with Netanyahu for sure

          https://www.smh.com.au/world/middle-...18-p50gst.html

Israeli officials already had been urging the Trump administration not to release its proposal too close to the elections, afraid that a plan demanding concessions from Israel would hurt Netanyahu's chances when hard-liners already accuse him of being too soft on Hamas, the militant Palestinian group that rules the Gaza Strip. We do know Friedman will side with Israel. Greenblatt may not. Which leaves Kushner and Bolton.

                Another article..

                http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/254911

President Trump is reportedly anxious to unveil the plan as soon as possible, and is still eyeing a December 2018 release.

Senior officials within the Trump administration, however, advised the president to delay the peace plan’s rollout, especially if Israel holds early elections.

Ambassador David Friedman reportedly advised against releasing the peace plan during the Israeli election season, saying turning the election for the 21st Knesset into a referendum on the peace deal would be a mistake.

The problem will be the fact they are talking about holding the election at the end of March, by the time they get a coalition it will be close to May before they can approach the deal again. And like your article states..

President Trump is reportedly anxious to unveil the plan as soon as possible, and is still eyeing a December 2018 release.

The US has been here before and both Kushner and Greenblatt consider it one of the past mistakes???? (Stated in interviews)

They will also have to decide what to do with the Saudis re: the prince seeing he was a big part of initial negotiations for the peace plan

The CIA says he ordered the journalists death, State Dept says something different

There is supposed to be a full report on Tues. I doubt the Trump ME meeting will decide what to do before that is settled

I can't see Trump allowing it to stand in the way as so far he is stickling with..

He has tooooo much riding on it. big shrug

House extends U.S. support for Saudis in Yemen as concerns mount
U.S. lawmakers of both parties have lamented the mounting death toll and humanitarian crisis in Yemen's civil war, where civilian casualties have surged more than 160% in recent months and famine imperils 14 million. Yet little-noticed
procedural votes in the House this week will prevent Congress from having to debate America’s continuing role in the conflict.
Why it matters: The House votes foreclosed debate on a bipartisan attempt to invoke the War Powers provision, which would have halted all U.S. support to the Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthi rebels.

Yep, I doubt the Saudis are going to be force to pay anything but a minimal punishment.

Netanyahu said he warned the coalition party heads against dissolving the government. "I told them that we cannot repeat the mistakes that members of the government made in 1992 when they dissolved a Likud government, forming the government that gave us the disastrous Oslo Accords. I told them we cannot make the same mistakes as the government in 1999, when they dissolved and brought the Intifada upon us."

Netanyahu also announced that he intends to keep the defense portfolio and said he understands the public's criticism of recent events in Gaza, but asserted he has a plan: "I will not say when we will act and how. I have a clear plan. I know what to do and when to do it. And we will do it."
