Trump Is Willing to Reopen TTIP Amid EU-U.S. Trade Dispute, Ross Says

    PS
0/0/0 has always been the goal. The speed it was to be done has been questioned. How quickly could the citizen and the individual economies accept the change. Pres. Trump wants to speed it up, but Macron is more apprehensive.

"A good trade negotiation, as I have said before, can be only done on balanced and reciprocal basis and under no circumstances under threat," Macron said during a joint press conference in Madrid with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. "We have some questions that we will want to clarify in the coming days with our European partners."

Macron's reservations about the deal sealed Wednesday in Washington reflect concern that the accord may create imbalances among European countries, and Germany in particular. Sanchez matched his French counterpart's caution.

little side note in case you haven't been watching the US and the OAS. It would seem if you check through the news the OAS has been left up to VP Pence. He has made multiple trip.
        From May

Remarks by Vice President Pence During a Protocolary Meeting at the Organization of American States

I'm here today because the Western Hemisphere is a key priority of our administration and our country.

Today, this institution essentially represents our entire Western Hemisphere. And the United States is proud-proud to stand with the OAS. And we're especially grateful for the principled leadership of Secretary General Almagro. Thank you for your outstanding words today.

The US has been the force for regime change in Venezuela.

        Pure speculation??

Why is Russia so happy with Trump?

The Russian ruling elite is hoping it would be able to negotiate a new world order with Trump.
The "new Yalta" would redistribute spheres of responsibility to recognised great powers. The Kremlin, of course, sees Russia as one of them (alongside with the US, China, and perhaps Europe).

At least so far, it would seem, this is still very much a possibility.

NAFTA 'handshake' deal with Mexico targeted for Thursday

              https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...-mexico-746332

Why a handshake? The actual document can't be signed until all three are in agreement and sign the document together.

U.S. wants quick progress on EU trade issues, officials say
Washington is pressing the European Union to speed up trade negotiations launched after last month's meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, two German and a U.S. official said on Saturday.
                https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKCN1LA0J0

From all the articles the pressure being exerted by the US to get the deals all done, at least so far, is working.

                PS
Before the Nov elections???? the fear of a blue wave getting in the way????

                Edit to add

Trump administration pressing EU for 'very rapid' trade deal, officials say
Washington unhappy with speed of negotiations
Trade negotiations launched to prevent a transatlantic tariffs war between the EU and US must go faster, Washington is said to have demanded.

                    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...+World+News%29

In earlier posts/articles Europe etc. have claimed the US is attempting to get absolute control of the WTO.

We also know from earlier threads TTIP originally had a clause whereby American corporate world controlled a court.

Most recent articles state they picked up TTIP where Obama left off and the US is in a big hurry to get it completed.

US and Mexico reach a preliminary trade deal

We're going to get rid of NAFTA because it has a bad connotation."
lol So he is just renaming it.

Despite Trump's signal that the deal could lead to a bilateral trade agreement between the United States and Mexico, Pena Nieto, through a translator, expressed his "desire that now Canada will also be able to be incorporated in this."

US softens its demand for NAFTA 'sunset clause': Mexican official
The United States has softened its contentious demand for a NAFTA "sunset clause," Mexico's incoming trade negotiator said on Saturday, potentially eliminating a key obstacle to reaching a deal next week to revamp the trade pact.
                      https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/25/trum...-imminent.html
The above was actually the main disagreement that was holding up the (new NAFTA) agreement all along

Like I say it can only be completed if all three sign on.

Amazing all the pressure the US is putting on getting all the deals done, and as the TTIP post states "rapidly".

....and the structural foundation of the world order is moving closer to completed

France's Macron calls for world trade discussion in Paris
French President Emmanuel Macron has called for trade discussions to be held between the U.S., Europe, China and Japan in November in Paris.
In a speech to French ambassadors Monday, Macron said world trade rules aren’t currently working but "unilateralism and trade war is the worst response."
He proposed to organize a meeting on the issue on the margins of World War One commemorations on Nov. 11 in Paris, since he has invited dozens of world leaders to the event including U.S. President Donald Trump, who said he would come.
"I think we can build a fairer and more efficient system. I think we should not give in to one's hegemony and everyone's division", Macron said in a reference to Trump's trade policies to impose tariffs on countries like China.

a little update on EU/US trade deal

She also said the European Union would be willing to reduce its car tariffs to zero, if the United States did the same, going beyond the provisional agreement struck in July which referred only to "non-auto industrial goods".
"We would do it if they do it. That remains to be seen,"
Trump, in an interview with Bloomberg, said of the EU proposal to scrap auto tariffs: "It's not good enough."
"Their consumer habits are to buy their cars, not to buy our cars,"
                          Trump added, according to Bloomberg.
The European Union remains at odds with the United States over U.S. blocking of the appointment of judges at the World Trade Organization, over tariffs set for reasons of national security and over Washington's tough stance towards China.
Malmstrom said many U.S. companies and politicians were voicing concerns over goods becoming more expensive in the United States as a result of tariffs.
The European Union shared U.S. criticism of China over industry subsidies, state intervention and forced technology transfers, but believed its approach was wrong, she said.
"We share those concerns, but we do not agree with their methods of imposing massively billions of tariffs on China, as they have also done with Turkey. We do not share U.S. view that trade wars are good and easy to win," the commissioner said.

Trump, in a conversation Thursday with Bloomberg News, gave a dismissive off-the-record assessment of the Canadian position on major NAFTA sticking points that was leaked to the Toronto Star newspaper and published Friday morning.
"If I say no-the answer's no. If I say no, then you're going to put that, and it's going to be so insulting they''re not going to be able to make a deal ... I can't kill these people,"

It is such a shame. Things will never be the same. There may not be a physical wall the eye can see, but a wall is being built in Canada and Europe

Last night a rep of Pres. Trump was on TV. The comment was made the WH didn't have any trade deals complete with anyone. The rep assured the host that Kudlow had personally told him TTIP (or whatever they are going to call it now) is complete. Waiting for confirmation.
