The SCOTUS has upheld an Arkansas law that prohibits "chemical abortions" in certain circumstances. Specifically, the law requires a physician who prescribes or administers abortion-inducing drug to have a contract with a physician who has admitting privileges at a nearby hospital (tacitly so that if there is a complication, the patient can be admitted to a hospital immediately.) Planned Parenthood sued Arkansas over the law. One lower court apparently overturned the law, and another upheld it, and that was appealed to the SCOTUS. SCOTUS has refused to hear the case, thus letting the lower court's upholding of the law stand.
