Officials in Seoul "are trying to figure out what President Trump's intention is and the exact meaning of it," Yonhap reported, quoting presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom, following Trump's decision to pull out of the high-stakes meeting agreed for June 12 in Singapore.

Maybe it's just me after hearing Amir's latest update, but with what he says about how many terrorist threats Israel's intelligence has stopped recently, and Iran's ties with North Korea, part of me sees this and wonders if there was a security issue.

I have no doubt about security issues Doug. There does seem to be a strong connection between Iran and N. Korea. I am not sure (at all) about how that can play out given the strong atheist state that N. Korea is vs. the strong *religious* state that Iran is.

I believe that sometimes (often?) public officials, especially presidents, say and do things that are completely appropriate given what they know (that the general public will never know) but it seems strange to the public because we do not know what they know. They always have to speak guardedly but also informatively. Must be a strange thing to be in those positions in *the world.*

Okay, this is a CNN video but it does explain why the sudden pull-back from the meeting by the US.
        Very interesting despite the source.
