The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

No matter what words are said; no matter the bluster; no matter the level of "crisis"; no matter the party .. even beyond Dem and Rep .. there will be compromise and the compromise will always involve more debt. It is the way of the 'world' and they can't help themselves.

    Psalm 119:
    128
Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

I for one am truly concerned how this is going to affect our healthcare service. My husband has many medical issues and I too have some. I don't think it will make much difference for me but for him I am concerned. I thank The Lord that we have dealt with his knee issue having had to go back to surgery 3 times with it. So paid for by insurance but I shiver to think if this happened next year at this time. I suspect my earnings from my part time job at our local hospital will be eaten up between insurance premiums and the rest of taxes. Hope to have some $ left over for gas!

Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

this kind of seems to be saying that everything will continue as normal as usual (in the Western / Roman ? world) until the time GODs judgment is poured out after the Rapture. not that we're anything special of course... There are possibly more real Christians in China than here ...

The collapse of the Economic system requiring a rationing system enforced by the mark of the beast during the 3rd seal ( Rev 6:5) also seems to be well after our departure and into the first 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation period... and you could well argue that that famine effects mostly the already impoverished 3rd world... The general world wide economic collapse may not happen until Rev 15's bowl judgments with Babylons destruction in Rev 18.near the end of the Trib period.....

So, in essence, It seems to me that total economic collapse wont happen while we are here... Maybe thats a coin toss, but thats what I think / hope.

One thing though, during the great depression, America was still a Christian nation with a work ethic..... should another depression happen, I think chaos in some of the welfare cities would occur...

I always have questions about this passage being used to say, in essence, "See all will continue as usual until the rapture."

              A few things ... thoughts ....

That passage concerns the whole world, not just the West.

There are millions of believers around the world, in history as well as currently, whose lives are anything but "the usual." i.e. persecution .. severe persecution ... persecution we can't imagine and don't even want to try to imagine.

There was a time where Christians, at least in the West, have said, concerning sodomy and all that goes with that, wouldn't be widespread and certainly, not acceptable, until after the rapture. As we know, it is anything but a rare instance anymore. It is now "mainstream." I have a son-in-law in medical school .. just last night he told me that they are studying sexually transmitted diseases and homosexuality and lesbianism are listed absolutely as no different than heterosexuality. Absolutely no difference.

This passage DOES NOT apply to you Lewis or anyone else here; I include it to demonstrate that there will be people saying this .. "continue as they were from the beginning."

              2 Peter 3:
              3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Added to the "days of Noah" .. besides the "... before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, ... is scripture from the days of Noah:

              Genesis 6:
              11
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

              See also, post #21 here.

Like I mentioned in that post 21 above, people do "normal" things like eat, drink and even marry, in the worst of times too.

A good historical story of why it sort of doesn't matter what happens as long as we are in Christ.

An example of how folks can get along "normally" in the midst of perverse circumstances:
