  • Likud officials: If indicted, Netanyahu will have to resign

MK Avi Dichter was the one Likud official to publicly call for Netanyahu s resignation if an indictment is filed against him, saying in a radio interview last week, A prime minister or defense minister who are indicted the high road says they must resign their post, unless there s a particular reason not to. I hope things don't come to this.

    Headline: "...will have to resign"
    Article: "call for (his) resignation"
Take-away - headline makes a definitive statement that the wording of the article does not seem to back up.
Me HUGE pet peeve of mine!
(Nothing against you, SAT - this happens on the Internet all the time and it really bugs me)

I know what you mean Andy. There has been a few times I refused to post the headline and only posted the quote and url.

There are sooo many varying views in Israel right now on the subject.

I will say there is something to the headline though if we go through the past. Even Netanyahu had to step away from running in one election for gifts he had received. These accusations are actually much more serious from what I can tell.
