  • Spiritual deception in churches

much has been written about false preachers, but I can find about very little about the (demonic ? )spirit of deception in some churches......in some “Christian” movements... imho, False preachers would not be deceived or able to deceive without fallen angels / demons spreading a “”hypnotic trance”” ((for lack of a better term)), a spirit of deception over a group of people so that they will enthusiasically follow error...

GODs people on the other hand through election and free will are not deluded by this un-holy spirit of deception and so will not be decieved into following error.....

Btw, in my thought, demons are the spirits of disembodied Nephelim ….. not fallen angels created by GOD....

I think in most cases though, it just comes down to a lack of proper Bible study. too many rely on their Pastor and His interpretation, instead of studying for themselves.

    I also believe this.

Interesting topic Lewis. Certainly an "end times" topic as we see more and more effort put into a "owr" and a very large amount of false teaching.

As far as not being able deceive or be deceived without help from "evil spirits" (I'll leave it at that since your nephilim thought would likely derail the whole thread. )? I'll have to think about that. Initially I'd say people could deceive and be deceived without the persuasion of evil spirits just because of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, ..

      1 John 2:
      15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Certainly there are numerous evil spirits at work in this world and they can certainly be somehow involved in our being tempted .. whether to sin or to accept false doctrine .. but I'm not so certain that the "flesh" isn't capable of much damage all on it's own.

Issachar .. thinking more about this ...
The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken - dylan

Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

I think scripture answers that one, brother Issachar.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

I don't think the fallen heart of man needs evil spirit involvement although there's no question that it's a major influencing factor.
