My personal opinion is that they close forever, who needs them anyway !!
This entity with their threats over the years, has caused more heart attacks than blockages. -

NO love here for the Infernal Revenue Service, but isn't it crazy how they can put people out of work due to "budget cuts" (not true of course) but they can continue to make sure funding is available to study why lesbian women, on average, drink more alcohol than straight women ($3.5 million) as well as THOUSANDS of equally heinous spending?

They don't know what they are doing sad to say, the blind is leading the blind. I just know that I wish they were closing for good, and someone should get rid of the IRS all together and simplify the tax code to a better state than it is right now. With the IRS out of here, the world would be a little better place. Again this entity, has caused many people untold heartache, and made them very sick over taxes owed. They will have to stand before God on judgment day, and give an account for sure.Comment

I've heard a theory that makes sense.
They'll be doing a bit of cleaning up during this time, like hard drives, "un-needed" files and paperwork, etc. Makes sense.Comment
