Personally, I think the more plausible explanation is the one this bill is designed to address. While it may be that they are gearing up for civil unrest, I think the immediate stockpiling is just to keep the ammo off the shelves, which backdoor limits our 2nd amendment rights in 2 ways. Scarcity makes it harder to find and also drives prices up.

I can't believe I missed this one. So, I'm going to pop my head up for just a minute and then duck real fast.

It seems like the debate of the 1.6 billion rounds of ammo that this agency is buying just will not go away. Of course, even some of the more conservative "sensationalists", or should I say politicians, admit it's really 750 million rounds over 5 years, or 150 million rounds a year for the next five years (see the second paragraph from the bottom in the link from post 1 above). Then the conspiracy theorists hop on board and say that if the gov't can't restrict gun usage, they are going to restrict ammo. People hear that and get afraid that it may be true.

Well, there are conservatively 50 million owners of semi automatic guns in the US. And if everyone of those owners, including myself, runs out and trys to buy just 2 boxes of ammo a piece (100 rounds), that's 5 Billion rounds bought in just the past 4 to 6 months.

Ok, 150 Million rounds a year, or 5 Billion rounds in the past 4 to 6 months...which do you think has had more influence on the recent shortage of ammo that's being reported? In other words, gun and ammo manufacturers are the ones getting rich. And they can't buy advertising like this. It really make you wonder if the NRA in thier support of gun/ammo manufacturers and Congress are just playing good cop bad cop with the American people. Politics, it's never what it seems to be. But I'm willing to guess that the love of money is at the root of it all.

Anyway, I hope the bill passes, I'm just not sure that it will get to the real truth behind it all.

Ok, time to duck and cover...

Re: Republican bill takes aim at agency ammunition stockpiling

Personally, I say forget the numbers because only God can apparently know the actuals. What is actually happening, is DAILY, multiple times in multiple reports, there is talk of gun control. There are two kinds of people for gun control .. those with an agenda and those that are ignorant of what gun ownership is about that fall under the sway of government/media propaganda.

Yes, it is a war of propaganda. Everywhere we turn these days, the word "conspiracy" is misused because it is misunderstood. What is a conspiracy? It is absolutely nothing more than men plotting something; two or more. I don't believe that there is a person alive that doesn't realize that throughout history, this has taken place over and over and over .. all over. Whether it is in corporate or government, whether it is within a family or some organization of sorts, men conspire. Go to your trusty, electronic KJV bible and you'll find 10 instances of "conspiracy." Even our Lord uses that term. (12 times in the ASV) The MKJV uses it four times because in some of the verses they made it read "plot." Same concept.

There is ample evidence in history, both figured and admitted, of men conspiring; whether to gain a puny supervisory position within a corporate department or to take over a nation .. their own and/or another .. or more.

Somehow, the word "conspiracy" has been made into a catch-all term for every nut case "thinker" out there. It is exactly the same as the "gays" stealing a symbol that God gave as a reminder of His promise not to make a global flood again; the rainbow, or even stealing the word "gay" that simply means happy, to be a description of their own pathetic lives. It's no different than the "world" stealing the word "love" from it's godly meaning, to mean "everyone compromise and just get along", not to mention the "making love" aspect of it. The word "queer", when I was a child, simply meant something was weird or unusual. I remember around second grade (1958-59) reading a story entitled "The Queer Noise" .. it was about a boy hearing a queer noise in the attic and it turned out to be a bird. There are countless examples of men changing the meaning of words for their own agenda. And now, we have the word "conspiracy" stolen to mean something like wild-eyed-make-stuff-up-thoughts of non-researchers. As Christians, we must know that the devil has had, continues to have and will have as long as he is able, a hatred for God, His people, and [u]anything[/i] of God and conspires or plots, to do it all harm.

Sadly, somehow, it has become common to label someone's made-up rantings about President Bush being an alien from a UFO from a galaxy far, far away, "conspiracy." Or the zionists were behind the 9/11 attacks or the now limbless victims of the Boston bombings were mere actors .. have come to be called "conspiracy theories." These are NOT conspiracy THEORIES. They can't hardly even be considered a hypothesis.

The result of all this changing of word meanings? Confusion. The source of confusion? The devil. That is one of his areas of expertise. Words have meanings. They enable humans to communicate meaningfully. What did God do at that Babel zigurat? Did He confound their science to put a stop to their foolishness? Did He confound their religion? Their politics? Art? NO! He confounded their language, He confounded their ability to communicate. THAT brought and end to all else. He laid the axe to the root of their society; that is, the ability to communicate. That means something! So when people change the meaning of words (I'm always battling that with people ), think about how important God considers that.

We can hear a certain person giving a state-of-the-union speech and many will absolutely AGREE with what is being said .. because they think they know what is meant. But the speaker has a different meaning for those words and so, is able to announce an agenda, very publicly ... very safely.

Was .. Is .. there a communist conspiracy to infiltrate religious institutions, educational institutions, to gradually overthrow nations? They themselves, say yes. On the economic front, has anyone read the well documented "Creature From Jekyll Island" yet? Did Bernie Madoff act alone? Hardly. He and others conspired to do their dastardly acts. Ivan Boesky ring a bell?

Conspiracy theory, doesn't cease to have been a conspiracy when proven and it's no longer a theory. I've heard people like Glenn Beck make comments similar to, "Well, it's not even a conpiracy now; it's a known fact." A conspiracy is a conspiracy .. whether still in the theoretical stage or finally proven. Where did the saying, "Beware the ides of March" come from? Of course, we know it was the Roman Senators that conspired to stab Julius Caesar to death. After the fact, it didn't cease to be that they had conspired.

Take 5 and listen carefully to President Kennedy here:

Interesting note .. :55 to 1:10 .. what he said and what we see/hear happening today ..

          In Christ and in love,

Re: Republican bill takes aim at agency ammunition stockpiling

Considering that there were not ammo shortages even during the Iraq wars … it is disconcerting when we have both our government and people scrambling for as much ammo they can get.

Did not happen before and everyone was “practicing” just as much.
It’s now just to obvious to dismiss.
What times to live in. come quickly lord Jesus.

            ----

Probably one of the things that is most telling to me,
Is that the idea that the federal government is up to no good
            Is common wisdom
It is well past the conspiracy label
Conspiracy now refers to UFOs, chemtrails, 911, and the like

If the talk is referring to the overthrow of freedom, and shadiness at high levels the answer you get universally is: “ya, things are not good.” Don’t matter which side of the isle your on, no one is really sure what’s up or where the chips fall, but everyone feels the tension.

While it’s true that spiritual things are spiritually discerned, and you need holy spirit to receive the deep things of God, soul is a form of spirit, and I believe all can feel the “wind” blow. It’s as simple as words universally used like “the atmosphere of a room” or “getting vibes.” Every child can tell when pride or love walks into a room, we lose that as we get older and start thinking way too much.

            Everywhere you go now,
everyone seems to be picking up on real bad vibes,

conspiracy theories many times are just people filling in a narrative, people do that because not knowing the story makes us uncomfortable. It’s also comforting to have a bad guy to hate rather than thinking the train is running fast with no driver at the wheel.

In these times we have both the true story and a narrative filled with hope. The nations of the world are controlled by the god of this world and a rescue mission is under way. Things will wax worse and worse, but a rescuer named Jesus is here to save, and a judge named Jesus will one day take vengeance in justice on those who have bent back their bows is secret. The wicked are seen clearly in their wicked acts, be them the invisible powers or their human lackeys.

We need not fret or try to preserve dust which the father God intends to take a match to, we can rejoice over the promises given to us and look up as we Pilgrimage our way through to our new city where in lives righteousness himself. .

              So true.

              Psalm 11:
              1
To the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, "Flee like a bird to your mountain,
              2 for behold, the wicked bend the bow; they have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
3 if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
4 The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.
5 The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
6 Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the LORD is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.

              Edit to add:

              Psalm 37:
              12
The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him,
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming.
              14 The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose way is upright;
15 their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 Better is the little that the righteous has than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.
