I would add that without the Holy Spirit, we don't have a chance at resisting sin! Even those of us with the HS in us have to constantly battle the flesh (sin), too!

A hearty, "Amen" to that! Even the "great" Apostle Paul had to admit he had to do battle with his flesh and the sin that lives within each of us. This battle continues with us till the day we are rid of this body.
