Hey John! Hope you're enjoying a way cool day .. Happy Birthday and congrats on completing another lap around the sun.
Genesis 1:
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.
Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Thanks, all!!!! I just turned 39 for the 27th time! Got my medicare, social security, retired, etc. All things I would never dreamed of living to see 40 years ago after reading Hal's Late Great Planet Earth! Unfortunately, for us mere mortals all of these years are only seconds on God's time clock.
Each year I hope this is the last Birthday spent on earth, because of the Rapture and not death, per se! But that is my flesh speaking and what my spirit wants is God's Will be done as He sees fit!
Just took it easy today, after church, on the deck enjoying the nearly 80 degree spring weather, here near St. Louis!
I hope you are having a wonderful birthday! I am just experiencing being retired. I have to remember not to set my alarm for tomorrow morning. It still hasn't sunk in yet that I am no longer going to work every morning...at least until I find a part-time job. I will think of you in May when I drive through St. Louis on my way to Phoenix.
