End of WeDG

Hi all,
Due to well over two years of a clear lack of interest in this board, I will be closing it when the hosting is up next month (24 Aug). I see no reason to continue this with the lack of readership and participation.

It's been a wonderful 27+ years, with tons of ups and downs, but with all the excellent resources available to us online via Telegram, YouTube and other platforms - we've outgrown our purpose. I do not believe any huge modification/improvements to the site would help, plus that has always been way beyond my knowledge/skill set.

Y'all know how to reach me.

    Re: Israel at war??

I pretty much see his point Wendy but may I add ..

Incidentism leads to armies tiptoeing around conflicts and losing them by default.
One on one conflict is being eliminated as much as possible. Drones drones and more drones lurking somewhere above. Either to isolate and kill using the drone or to pinpoint the location for accuracy when using missiles

But there is also the economic weapon they are using so terribly well these days.
The extremist in Egypt can talk about Sharia until they are blue in the face. They can talk about not getting in debt or how it is illegal to pay interests
But when they realize the Arab countries don't own all the oil in the world and the oil rich economies are just as susceptible to collapse...

Saudi says IMF's 2016 deficit forecast is "doomsday scenario"

U.S. to overtake Saudi(and Russia) as top oil producer: IEA

Plus all the oil they just recently discovered off NFLD. That is just in North America.

When they can't use oil or other Arab countries any longer to get the exemption from the system....
And their great need of 5 billion in debt. Plus corporate world will not invest until they conform to the IMF.

I recently heard a Christian pastor say Islamist saw the riches of the oil countries as proof allah is god.
They also still thought it could be used as a weapon to bring the world to their knees but.... Which is probably why they are having some trouble admitting publically the IMF could be right.

He is right about the mentality but the war has actually just changed weapons. But also the OWO controls it.

My prediction? Obama won't allow that to happen as it would put way too much power right back into the American hands - something he's spent his Presidential career destroying.

        Post number 8
        In Saudi IMF thread
Saudi says IMF's 2016 deficit forecast is "doomsday scenario"

The boom has surprised even the experts.

“Five years ago, if I or anyone had predicted today’s production growth, people would have thought we were crazy,” says Jim Burkhard, head of oil markets research at IHS CERA, an energy consulting firm.
or exactly what we hear him say all the time.....

Post number 1 in the US to overtake thread

The United States will overtake Saudi Arabia and Russia as the world's top oil producer by 2017, the West's energy agency said on Monday, predicting Washington will come very close to achieving a previously unthinkable energy self-sufficiency.
Yes his attitude reflects the ideology of the OWO but the US is still striving to stay number 1 and in control.

Former United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
And I know too that there is weariness – a sense that we have carried these burdens long enough. But if we are not inspired to lead again, one of two things will happen – no one will lead and that will foster chaos —- or others who do not share our values will fill the vacuum.

Meanwhile, countries within the reach of Iran’s military but lacking a nuclear option would be driven to reorient their political alignment toward Tehran. The reformist tendencies in the Arab Spring — already under severe pressure — would be submerged by this process. The president’s vision of progress toward a global reduction of nuclear weapons would suffer a blow, perhaps a fatal one.

        Or even...

I don't have a link as it was the 9:00pm news.
Oil is quickly becoming just another commodity and not an Arab weapon. As I said in the thread to Wendy the shoe is on the other foot and the world/Arab population are only just realizing now.

In his first term being passive publically or talking about leading from behind didn't mean they weren't getting their way ang getting it done.

        The definition of good leadership?????

A good example is the Arab Spring.

China's Xi warns of unrest if graft not tackled
If corruption is allowed to run wild in China then the ruling Communist Party risks major unrest and the collapse of its rule, state media on Monday quoted Communist Party chief Xi Jinping as saying at one of his first major meetings since taking the role.

China's new leader knows the global message

Putin's Russia - more fragile than it looks

          Absolutely fascinating if true???
Arab League chief Nabil al-Arabi accompanied by 10 Arab foreign ministers will cross into Gaza from Egypt on Tuesday to show support for the Palestinians, the league's deputy secretary general told AFP.

The delegation is expected to reach the crossing around noon (1000 GMT), said Ahmed Ben Hilli, adding that Turkey's foreign minister will join the the mission.

"The main goal is to express Arab solidarity and support for the steadfastness of the people and Gaza," he said.

Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi aid Tuesday he was sure a Gaza ceasefire would be in the bag before the end of the day. Arab League secretary led a delegation of 10 Arab foreign ministers on a visit to Gaza. DEBKAfile: The ministers tried to persuade Hamas to moderate its terms for a ceasefire.

I just see a much deeper, much more sinister, deception going on, here - something none of us has any full realization of (best that way, I'm sure). I can't get away from Muhammad and the history of how he conquered his enemies in his day and how that is exactly what I've heard, from more than one reliable source, is what is going on today. Both attacks are working: Feigning peace in the M.E. and slowly overtaking entire Empires/economies like they are in Britain and now the U.S. And given the fact that Obama is, at best, a Muslim sympathizer and at worst a full Communist (like his father was) I don't see him catapulting the US economy into first place again, creating a dependency of the Muslim nations, on US oil. No matter how "Muslim" our nation becomes we'll never have Mecca nor be called, "Persia".

Terrorist Attack on Bus in Tel Aviv; Hamas Celebrates

A terrorist blew blown up a Dan local bus on Shaul HaMelech street in central Tel Aviv aroun noon. Five people suffered serious injuries, and two are in serious condition while three people are in moderate conditon. No one was killed.

Twenty-one people have been evacuated to Icholov Hospital, most of them with lesser injuries. Others are being treated for emotional shock.

Eyewitnesses said that that the terrorist boarded the bus, placed a suspicious package there and then fled. Police arrested one suspect but later released him when it became clear he had no connection with the attack.

                    How true.
I couldn't help but think how this really complicates everything. The Arab world is really being force to the edge of making a decision once and for all.
Morsi really doesn't like them as they are the ones who have been responsible for killing Christians, challenging Morsi's authority and killing Egyptian soldier in Egypt.
They were also the ones behind the attacks in the Sinia and killing even more Egyptian soldiers. When Egyptian military had to work with Israelis to save American UN troops in the Sinia. A threat to his power.
Now Hamas is facing the same dilemma.
It was easy when neither Morsi or Hamas had any power to use these people. But now groups like the Salafist are also a threat to their power.

                        Re: Israel at war??

This article is an excellent summary

                        Especially the second half

                        IRANIAN ISOLATION
Whatever the result on the ground, there is little doubt in Israel that Iran suffered a diplomatic setback this week.

"It was very important for Iran to see a major rift between Israel and Egypt," said Meir Javedanfar, an Iranian expert who teaches at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya.

But by avoiding a potentially bloody ground invasion of Gaza and welcoming Egyptian mediation in the crisis, Israel managed to stave off a major split with President Mohamed Mursi and opened a welcome window of dialogue.

Moreover, the ceasefire brokered by Mursi made clear that Hamas, once viewed as being under Iranian sway, is very much in the Egyptian camp and is not taking any orders from Tehran.

"It's becoming clear that major Palestinian groups have realized that (Iran) would fight Israel to the last Palestinian, and this is a price which they are unwilling to pay," said Javedanfar. "Hamas has moved away from Iran."

Add the timing of this new revolt in Egypt and Morsi is getting a message.

US Calls Out Egyptian President Morsi For Giving Himself Sweeping New Powers

The OWO/OWR as represented by Iran is not going to win.
