The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

I am a sick woman. I will watch it, gut clenching and dry heaves from time to time. Masochist. In need of prayers for healing.

We do well, GH, to have in the forefront of our minds that God is in control regardless of what happens. He is the author of PEACE not fear.

PB, you've been in health care and you know that aspirin ain't that good for an upset stomach! Andy, ((Andy)) of course I know what you said is true. Just trying to have a little lightness and humor here.

              Sure, GH.....

You are absolutely correct, of course. Take 2 mylanta. I'll just stick both bills in the same envelope, if that's OK.

Is any of us surprised? Not at all. I would have been surprised if Romney won.

Just means we are on God's schedule for our Homegoing! Let's go! No more delays sounds good to me!

Here is what I find interesting in all this election process:

SO many folk I talk to, especially those in favor of Obama, have no clue when I ask them, for example, "Why are you for Obama and against Romney?"

I am mildly surprised at the answers. There is virtually no truth in what they think is true about either candidate. Now I know why so many campaign ads exist. It really is what most people pay attention to ... all those one line zingers. Truth is irrelevant. Myself and most here, if not all, can factually defend or oppose a candidate. But now I am convinced that most of the voting public simply go by "feelings."

Re: Election night is like a football game

In Ohio, Josh Mandel lost the race for the senate against incumbant, Sherrod Brown.

Josh (I somewhat know his family) is a solid Christian, former Marine having served two tours in Iraq, is opposed to abortion, deficit spending, gay marriage ... and much more that would be considered a Christian position. Brown however, is for sodomite "marriage", loves deficit spending, is pro-death; including the transporting of minors across state lines with no parental consent .. and much more that would be considered a non-Christian .. even anti-Christian, position.

I do know several people that are Christians that voted for him as well as Obama. That is such a contradiction to me that I can't even think up words to describe it.

Issachar, believes (has for a while) that the true church in America is small compared to it's 310 million population ... very, relatively small.

I agree brother. There is but a small remnant of the church that God established at Pentecost left. Home church is about the best option for us in the area that I live. But I'm ok with that. It served the first century church it will serve the few of us that believe in the infallible Word of God.
