Enjoying a family weekend up near Brainard (home of Paul Bunyon)Minnesota. Beautiful fall colors, just a small flurry or two. So thankful for my family. And bought my first gift for my little Peanut due in April. I pray for all my family here at Wedg that your weekend will be a blessing for you. There is still beauty amongst the ugly of this world. It also reminds me of our soon coming home in heaven that will be beautiful beyond compare. Lots of love to all, happy fall. Jackie

Re: Greetings from beautiful northern Minnesota!
Thank you so much! And congrats to YOU Grandpa Issachar! Yeah only in the 40's here but should hit in the mid 50's by tomorrow. Perfect weather to fish off the dock and have an outside fire. And of course watch our beloved Vikings play on TV tomorrow afternoon. Then reality will hit and the kids will be leaving starting tomorrow afternoon and on Monday. We leave on Tuesday. But my husband and I are planning a trip for a week up on Lake Superior later in October. So looking forward to that.

It's fun though. Their parents; my kids, don't let them get roudy in the house though. Plus, there are teens in there .. five of them .. and we have some great times talking about the Bible, various technologies, etc. Two of them and a nine year old, love playing around with electricity, motors, magnetism .. you know, cool stuff. The oldest three could carry on a decent economics discussion with most adults. Go figger ...
And then there is rocket man .. he's 12 and loves to shoot off rockets. About the oldest half of them love to shoot my shotgun .. especially water melons and water filled one gallon milk jugs.
The oldest .. 18 .. plays in a Christian band and loves to play around with all my video/audio stuff. So yes .. it can get tiring, but like you said, it's a fun tired.

Re: Greetings from beautiful northern Minnesota!
Family around a camp fire and good campfire food, can't be beat. Maybe this is weird on my part .. but it always reminds me of when Jesus was on the shore ..
John 21:
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore:
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
Can you imagine sitting around a campfire in the dawning hours on a seashore, with the Creator of the universe? I can't ... but would like to.

Re: Greetings from beautiful northern Minnesota!
I'm so happy for the both of you, I wish you and your families, many blessings and joy in your new grandchild for Issachar, and upcoming grandchild for Jackie. My weather is hot here also, but I do love it that way because it makes my bones feel really good as I can't take the cold weather anymore. Today is my husband's birthday, and my dog Teddy, so I am going to do something special with them, and am glad the temperature is nice and warm to do it..

Happy birthday to your husband Cornerstone33. Today we are cloudy but no rain. My daughter brought Christmas movies to watch so we are watching "The Santa Clause" I have really enjoyed this weekend it is so restful. Later this afternoon we will watch the Vikings game and then play games. Hope you enjoy your day. P.S. I love threads where we talk with each other as though we were with each other and sharing the good things of life.

Sadly, on this earth, "All good things must come to an end" (sooner or later).
Happily, there is coming a day when we will enter our eternal rest!
"The Spirit and bride say, 'Come...'" (Rev 22:17)
"...Even so, come Lord Jesus" (Rev 22:20)
