Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman spoke out on Tuesday against Arab countries that secretly cooperate with Israel, but refuse to acknowledge a diplomatic relationship.

Paraphrasing a comment by Meir Dagan, he said "Israel cannot be the whore of the Middle East that everyone enjoys but no one admits their connections with."

Liberman praises US amid reports of bilateral tensions

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman praised the US as Israel's strongest friend on Tuesday, as media reports of strains in the US-Israel relationship continued to dominate headlines.

"They're the only ones who stood by us in key votes in the UN, the Security Council and on UNESCO. They raised the funding for Iron Dome," he said at a pre-Rosh Hashana toast with his Yisrael Beytenu faction. "We have a good friend in the US. Even if we disagree sometimes, we really have no better friend."

French ambassador to Israel Christophe Bigot said during a ceremony in Jerusalem on Tuesday that his country would not stand idly by in the face of Iran's nuclear ambitions.

"We must act resolutely towards the Iranian regime which seeks not only to have a nuclear weapon, but also denies the very existence of the right for Israel to exist," he said. "In front of these words and actions, France will not be a passive witness.”

The United States may supply Israel with advanced Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bunker-buster bombs that can penetrate through up to 60 feet (almost 20 meters) of reinforced concrete, reports Maariv Tuesday.

This is part of a deal being worked out between the countries, which also includes the supply of refueling jets.

This equipment will make the job of demolishing Iran's nuclear weapon production array more feasible for Israel, should it decide to do so.

Security cabinet convenes for 10-hour discussion on Iran, Syria Egypt

The forum is highly classified, and even advisors to the ministers were not allowed into the meeting that took place in the center of the country.

The ministers were briefed by the heads of the Mossad, Shin Bet (Israel's Security Agency) and military intelligence. No further details were made available

'Iran information disturbing, not daunting'

Thanks Gail for your post too. We knew it all along..but it's very clear now what is going on at the democratic convention..they are following the world even more blatantly.

Oh my..such name calling, that is WAY beyond disrespectful...we're seeing a new layer of hate..we knew it was there and we know there are many more layers..it's still shocking to see it though. Israel is getting offers..but there are a lot of strings attached to this "help". No wonder it's being done behind closed doors. We know God will not let His beloved land and people be sold out and treated like that. I can not wait until that day when the world will realize and know the Truth!
