Iran, al-Qaeda and much of the Arab world has believed the above quote re OWO for many many years.
The reason Iraq and Afghanistan shifted so quickly from relief to fear and jihad.
The apprehension we have heard from the west about getting involved in the revolts, although they had worked hard for years to bring the young into their countries to educate them. The work they did among the educated and the universities, NGOs and the internet within each country to bring about revolt.The knowledge it could quickly shift, just as Iraq did because of the fear....
Their joy(the Nobel Peace Prize) and the comments from Kissenger when Obama, a man of both Islamic and Christian hertitage, got elected.

The apprehension and the deliberate attempts to appear fair and equal. Sometimes at the cost of Israel. But still support Israel.

Iran is trying to use violence and chaos to bring about their prophecies. To prove their prophecies are right and the other Islamic groups wrong. But the world knows this will back fire.
