The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

Personally I believe Israeli's will take the deal with the AC but when the world starts worshipping him they will refuse to assimilate into the OWR and bow to the AC. Then today in Haaretz I saw these articles.

U.S. Jewish groups furious over campaign to bring expat Israelis back home

VIDEO: Israeli absorption ministry releases campaign warning Israelis living abroad against assimilation; ADL calls videos demeaning to American Jewry

    http://www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/...-home-1.399057

Controversial commercials show historic balancing act of Israeli and American Jews

In the words of David Ben Gurion: In the free and prosperous countries, Judaism faces the kiss of death, a slow and imperceptible decline into the abyss of assimilation.

I know at first our human nature, instinct as Christians or even the west, is to be offended, but I wonder if it is already starting???? A division of sorts?????? A calling out from among them??? Causing Jews to question and think. Make a decision about the difference between them and Babylon so to speak. Pre WW2. We know God has a plan for Israel's redemption.
Just thought it interesting. I know many don't agree and that is OK. Like I said I just thought it interesting and something to watch.

For all intents and purposes the large majority of Jews living in America do not practice Orthodox Judaism. They marry non-Jews at very high rates, do not belong to a synagogue and attend services only on the high holy days if at all. So, jmho, "assimilation" has already happened to Jews in America. They are liberals politically and have supported O in droves. I don't know the percentage of Orthodox Jews in Israel, but I would feel very safe to say that is way less than 50%, so while they do have some influence politically, calling Israel a "Jewish state" is a misnomer.

Obviously, when the AC appears and negotiates a 7 year peace treaty, Israel will buy into it. They have been at war since 1948, and with Egypt likely to become an Islamic state like Iran, they will feel more pressure than ever because Egypt has an actual army, maybe not a great army, but an American weapons equipped army. To me, the pivotal point will be when the two Witnesses appear in Jerusalem. I think that is going to shock a lot of Jews into reexamining their faith.

As a relevant aside, when I was studying for my Master's in social work, I had an amazing Jewish female professor. We were discussing ethnicity. One of the younger Jewish girls in the class raised her hand and stated that her ethnicity was Jewish. I immediately stated that Judaism is a religion, not an ethnicity which made her fume. My professor, being Jewish herself, stepped in and said that I was correct. Sooo, I said all of that to give an example that I think is probably more prevalent than one would imagine.

Good thread. I will be interested to read what others think about this.

I agree with a lot you say. I also know many have a different view then myself. That is OK. I guess I should have phrased it dfferently.
My main point is the comparison to WW2 and the call from God then and now???
A wake up call is starting???

Pre WW2 many Jews and non Jews didn't take the call seriously then.

          Very true!

I was once listening to Tamar on Israel radio and she talked about what happened in WW2 and how people had escaped to warn the Jewish people what was happening and they didn't listen. She went on to say she wants to know...what is really going on now. That is why she interviews different people with different backgrounds.

However, with that said if the warning comes from NT believers I am not so sure they will listen any more today than then.

I agree SAT for much the same reason GH mentioned...assimilation/ secularism among the Jewish people. Not to be too hard on them as we are told in Scripture that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles is complete.

I don't think they can possibly see the full picture without putting the OT and NT together to be able to do so, which most won't do.

I believe they will be caught in the OWR peace movement. They are already attending the global interfaith meetings in the name of peace which they should not be doing as they are acknowledging other gods in doing so when there is only one true God.....the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and He will not share His glory.

Where I think they will see what has happened is when as we see in II Thess 2:4 and Daniel 11:36 the AC goes into the temple and exalts himself above all gods including the God of Israel......they will know no man is God!

Matt 24:15-21; Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 12:11 is interesting. It is when the AC sets up the AOD in the holy place they are to flee to the mts, those living in Judea as it is then when there is going to be great tribulation never seen before or will ever be seen again. They will know something is up when he sets up the AOD and exalts himself above all gods.

But in the meantime, I believe they will join the peace movement of the AC/FP initially........I don't think the AC is revealed at he beginning for who he is so many are going to get caught in this. Reveal means to show one's true intent or something hidden.

Also seeing it is the FP who causes everyone to take the mark not the AC (Rev 13:11-18)..I think the mark may somehow have a spiritual connection and thus may be linked to solidarity with this global interfaith movement somehow....jmo though. It all sounds good to so many who can't see the danger lurking behind it all. As in other threads we see there is legislation coming into place beind the scenes for the ones who oppose. There will come a time when people will turn their brothers/sisters in thinking they are doing it for God.

Exactly! Our time isn't finished yet. We are still here. Which would account for some things.
Plus we didn't warn the Jews then either. It was God Himself or other Jews.

PS the worse place for a new believing Jew will be any where other then Israel?

I do web design for an 84 year old Jewish Shoe Repair businessman, in Chicago. I called him on the 9th of Av, last Summer and kiddingly said, "didn't expect you to answer on the 9th." To which he responded, "what is that?" He did not have a clue what I was talking about.

He believes in nothing based on my Holy Spirit-guided probing (gently of course)! All he knows is, is to work, thus, his real god! He has been to Israel a couple of times but has no intentions of relocating there. He prefers Palm Springs but his wife does not want to leave Chicago.

He is anti-Obama and has a Harvard schooled, lawyer son, who refuses to even comment about Obama being from Harvard (seems to feel it is a sham)! So, he is not liberal, Per Se! It is the businessman in him!

I told him, "God would bless me if I treated him well", to which he laughed! He fully trusts me, however, and gives me all of his passwords to all of his online stuff! Of course, it may not hurt that I work pretty cheaply (more of a hobby for me than a living!).

So, God Willing, I will follow him until he quits working or we are raptured or the Antichrist shows up and then maybe I will know, where he stands?

U.S. Jewish ire prompts Israel to scrap ads for expats
Israel has cancelled government-sponsored television advertisements calling on expatriates to return, after some American Jews complained that the message denigrated their lifestyles.
