I talked to Lewis a couple of hours ago - he's having a tough time.

He's still in the hospital - in their "sub-acute" or "extended care" area.

There are some medical issues that I won't go into, that aren't amenable to being things he can do for himself - yet. They are weighing on his psyche - they aren't going away and how to deal with them will have to be resolved at some point.

The surgical incision itself is doing OK. Some continuing pain, but he's dealing with that. The doctors are now convinced that they got all of the cancer, but perhaps not all of the tumor, which apparently had relatively few cancer cells in it. He doesn't think that cancer therapy will be necessary.

He's getting increasingly antsy. He has received a number of cards from WeDG folks and specifically said THANK YOU ! He specifically ASKED THAT WE NOT FORGET HIM, PARTICULARLY IN PRAYING FOR HIM.

He's lonely - has a visitor that comes every other day - and he's concerned about how he will deal with the ongoing issues.

He hopes to get out mid-week next week.

Please continue to Pray for Lewis. He needs our support.

Praying ... I can understand completely how he feels. I will pray with all my heart that things start to resolve soon so he may go home and get back to those things he can do. Lots of prayers for you Lewis, hang on, day by day.

PB thank you so very much for the update on Lewis. This helps in knowing how and what to pray for him.

Lewis is a part of our family and prayers will continue to go before the throne of God as long as he needs them.

Hurry back Lewis. Praying that our LORD will favor you with a healing touch so that you can get back home where I know you want to be.

I have been praying Lewis and prayed this morning for you--mostly about the nerve damage healing and the physical healing but you will need a renewing in your mind too--His grace is sufficient, His strength is made complete in weakness. You will walk this verse during this time in your life--and you will find it to be true. Cast your cares on Him , He cares for you. Feelings are fickle friends but the Word is your embrace. I will continue to pray for you.
