Your Rights and Duties

As a Citizen, We allow the Government certain Privileges, 10th amendment, Bill of rights.

The Government does not have the right or power to say what Rights we have.

We are a sovereign people.

As a sovereign people, and, based of 500 years of legal president, We the Jury or Grand Jury are the final obstacle to an out of control, power mad government.

We the Jury have the self endowed right AND DUTY to judge the LAW as well as the accused. It is only in the last generation that an Imperial Judiciary has presumed to have the authority to dictate what the Jury could decide.

WE THE PEOPLE reserve to ourselves that decision. Article 10, Bill of Rights.

Well, given the state of "education" in civics, governement, etc...I'm really concerned about what our children are being taught about their rights. Fewer and fewer ever take the time to actually read the declaration of independance, the constituion, or the bill of rights. They are simply being told, hmm, I mean taught, what those documents mean. As Iss has pointed out many times, the teaching of critical thinking skills has practically disappeared............Sad.

Considering the growing new list of upreme court appointments and the aging of the older one's, I'm not surprised at where things are going. Remember, it's not just the appointee, but consider also, the voting to make that appointee a upreme court justice.

Very recent, Sotomayor ... seriously? and even more recent, Kagan ... ugh .. double seriously?

I believe that since Kagan won appointment, that the end of things as we know it, has sped up considerably.
