Ecuador Declares National State of Emergency as Volcano Erupts
    Nathan Gill
    August 15, 2015 — 3:26 PM CDT

Cotopaxi is about 50 kilometers (31 miles) south of Quito and last erupted between 1877 and 1880, according to the South American nation’s Geophysical Institute, known as IGEPN. About 2.2 million people live in the greater Quito metropolitan area, according to the 2010 census.

8/26/2015 -- Yellowstone Alert -- Man burned + Dogs killed in Idaho Hot Springs @ EQ Swarm spot

Challis Idaho is the exact same location seeing the EARTHQUAKE SWARM, and where the USGS installed new monitoring equipment this past year.

I'd like to point out this isn't a case of a tourist falling into a hot spring at Yellowstone, this is normally a swimmable hot springs many miles West of Yellowstone (In central Idaho). The man was hiking, and his dogs jumped in to the water not knowing the water was now boiling.

The "official" story is that the "cold water" that normally goes in to the spring may be not so cold due to the drought, however this is just speculation, not based on any real science data.

8/28/2015 -- Japan's Nishinoshima Volcano large sulfur emissions -- Explosive eruption coming?

        Published on Aug 28, 2015
Is a larger explosive volcanic blast coming at Nishinoshima volcanic island in Japan?

The newest flyover video of Nishinoshima, released by the Japanese Coast Guard, shows major sulfur deposits around the main crater of the new volcanic island. Large amounts of sulfur dioxide gas must be the culprit behind the building yellow stains on the flanks of the cone.

This yellowish buildup is a new development over the past few months since the last flyover of the area. In light of the other building threat of large eruption in South Japan (at Sakurajima Volcano), this large buildup of sulfur must be made note of now.

The deposits are large enough to be visible from high above, and miles away.

The new volcanic island appeared out of the sea just a few years ago, and has grown rapidly over the past year, spreading out over a mile in width.

Nishinoshima Volcano is located approximately 500 miles South of Tokyo Japan (on the Izu trench).

After a dorment four weeks....Volcano activity is back: Mount Aso.... Japans Largest Volcano Erupts

Japan on Monday warned tourists to keep away from popular Mount Aso after it began belching smoke and ash into the air, the latest eruption in one of the world's most volcanically active countries. Authorities issued their third-highest alert and cancelled more than a dozen flights after the huge volcano on the southwestern main island of Kyushu shot a column of ash several thousand metres into the clear sky.
"We suddenly saw an unusually massive plume rising in the air," Kimihiko Jo, an Aso official, told AFP.
"The black and grey column at one point appeared to be weakening, but it's growing bigger again." Local authorities evacuated about 30 tourists and shop workers who were near the volcano, the official said, adding that they have set up a four kilometer no-go zone around the crater.
The government said there were no immediate reports of injuries or casualties from the eruption, but the meteorological agency warned any tourists nearby to evacuate quickly.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said troops, police and firefighters had been deployed to check if the eruption had caused any damage or casualties.
"We are doing our best to secure lives of people by working together with local governments," Abe told reporters in Tokyo.
At least 18 domestic flights were cancelled due to the eruption, airlines said.
The 1,592m Aso, a popular tourist spot, has been rumbling into life since last year and in August the meteorological agency also issued an alert after picking up increasing seismic activity around the volcano Sakurajima, to the south.
There are scores of active volcanoes in Japan, which sits on the so-called "Ring of Fire", a volatile tectonic zone that records a large proportion of the world's earthquakes.
In June, search teams returned to the peak of Mount Ontake in central Nagano prefecture for the first time in eight months to look for the bodies of six climbers still missing after an eruption that killed dozens.
The shock explosion was Japan's deadliest in almost 90 years, leaving an estimated 63 people dead, many of their bodies at least partially entombed in volcanic sludge.

A new eruption has been reported yesterday from the volcano, which has last been active 105 years ago.
An ash plume was seen rising approx. 1 km and drifting NW from what looks like a lateral vent on the northern slope of the volcano near Arusha town.
The are no reports of damage or fatalities.
According to local sources, people in the area around the volcano have been experiencing an increased number of small felt earthquakes in recent months.

Costa Rica's colossus Turrialba Volcano erupts gas and vapor 800 meteres into the air Saturday

After several small eruptions on Friday, Turrialba Volcano - located 50 kilometers east of Costa Rica's capital - erupted at 5:10 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), the volcano spewed gas and vapor and launched ash 800 meters into the air.
The eruption lasted for 30 minutes.
OVSICORI geologists report that the ash is being carried south and will fall primarily in areas immediately surrounding Turrialba.
There have been no reports of ash in San Jose or the surrounding suburbs.
OVSICORI officials reported increased seismic activity at the volcano earlier this week and warned that an eruption could be imminent.
After a series of major eruptions in 2014, Turrialba Volcano had been inactive for the past several months.
With this explosion and another last Friday, volcanologists say that the volcano is reawakening.
"We are seeing a reactivation in the volcano, but it isn't anything like the large eruptions we had last year," OVSICORI official Javier Pacheco told daily La Nacion.
"This is a slow reactivation that has been underway since Oct. 10."

Volcano Uptick: Mexico's Colima volcano...The volcano of fire blasts smoke and ash 10,000 feet into the Mexican sky

Mexico's Colima volcano, also known as the Fire Volcano, erupted on Monday sending a plume of smoke and ash some 9,842 feet into the air.
Located in the southwestern Mexican state of Colima, the volcano has been exhibiting continuous activity since July 9 which has prompted evacuations several times.
It was previously active in January and February of 2015 and is part of the Pacific's Ring of Fire. Mexico contains over 3,000 volcanos, but only 14 are considered active.
Major eruptions in Mexican history have included the 1953 eruption of the Paricutin Volcano in Michoacan, the 1982 eruption of Tacana Volcano in Chiapas and the 1986 eruption of the Colima Volcano.

As a huge coronal hole opens up on our sun: Expect more eruptions and major quakes in the coming days

I have been scratching my head this week as to why nine volcanoes all around the world this week should suddenly show activity as if the morning alarm clock woke them all up....
On Wednesday I reported Central America on fire: Santa Maria volcano, Guatemala, Fuego volcano, Guatemala, Momotombo volcano, Nicaragua, which erupted for the first time in 100 years, Telica volcano, Nicaragua, Turrialba, Nicaragua and Colima volcano in Mexico all erupting or active.
Then yesterday, Europe's largest and most volatile volcano Etna in Italy joined the party, after earlier in the week I reported Bali was in danger from Mount Barujari following an eruption and Mount Bromo west of Bali also erupting both in Indonesia.
Because of a lack of seismic activity in the vicinity of the above volcanoes I didn't think to check out the sun at Spaceweather.com.
It just so happens a vast hole in the sun's atmosphere--a "coronal hole"--has opened up in the sun's northern hemisphere, and it is spewing a broad stream of solar wind into space.
If I was a gambling man, I would bet on more eruptions in the coming days, possibly in Alaska and Russia and...maybe Hawaii and if you like accumulative bets put some money on major quakes in the same time period!

A noteworthy M6.0 earthquake has struck Indonesia , near Mount Bombalai volcano.

Mount Bromo (to the South) now has an alert that has been issued calling for a "massive" eruption... the blast(s) this past week are now being called "burps" by the volcanologists in the area.
Nearby Mount Rinjani has sent off multiple large blasts as well.

Keep watch, shallow seismic unrest following deep earthquakes in the West Pacific means the predictions about large eruption may indeed pan out.

Indonesian vlocanoes rumble with fire! Sinabung..Bromo erupt in the last 24 hours Soputan itching for a fight: 15 volcanoes on alert status in Indonesia

The Bromo eruption is reported to have resulted in spews of volcanic ash to a height of more than 4,000 meters above sea levels on Tuesday, January 12.
The Bromo Volcano Observation Post (PGA) in Cemoro Lawang hamlet, Probolinggo, said that smoke and volcanic ash erupted from the crater with strong pressure up to 1,800 meters above the summit crater, or 4,129 meters above sea level.

From Tuesday past midnight until morning, three eruption quakes occurred with duration between 9.44s to 17.89s and a maximum amplitude of 35-36 millimeters.
Rumbles continued to be heard from the crater, while vague firelight can be seen from the active crater.

According to the observation post, from this morning until 12.00 pm, four eruption quakes occurred with durations between 10.69 and 14.72s with a maximum amplitude of 25-35 millimeters.
The current status of Bromo's activity still remains at level III or standby.

More than 1,200 people today remain evacuated from a 1.9-mile containment zone around Mount Egon in Kupang, eastern Indonesia, after toxic gas and volcanic ash erupted yesterday.

It was before officials in Russia had to cancel flights near the Zhupanovsky volcano on Russia's eastern coast after it spewed lava FIVE MILES into the air, also yesterday.
MONSTER ERUPTIONS: Panic as two volcanoes EXPLODE causing mass evacuation
Although the two volcanoes are separated by around 3,000 miles, they are on interconnected tectonic plates – sparking fears of a major seismic shift, more volcanic activity and even earthquakes and tsunamis, due to recent activity.

The Russian volcano is on the Phillippine Plate which joins the Java Trench, which Mount Egon lies close to.

The region is one of the most volcanic parts of the globe.

Unprecedented volcanic unrest around the world in 2016 have the authorities and scientists worried about a year without summer which will happen again and Western Civilisation is not prepared!

On the morning of the 2nd of January 2016, The Momotombo volcano Nicaragua, right, was the first volcano eruption of 2016!
A strong explosion occurred that morning at 04:22 local time at the volcano, covering much of the summit cone with incandescent ejecta.
It was the beginning of an extraordinary week for volcanoes around the world.....
The next day Guatemala's Fuego volcano spewed hot ash 24,000 feet into the sky, sending thick columns of ash nearly 24,000 feet (7,300 meters) into the sky amid loud explosions and extended new lava flows.
The volcano, only 30 miles (50 km) southwest of the Guatemalan capital.
The next day Indonesia joined the party as the Soputan Volcano handed us the third eruption of this year, and it was still only the 5th of January:
15 volcanoes are on alert status in Indonesia with the colossus Mount Sinabung on high alert.
The following week, Sinabung and Bromo volcanoes erupted in 24 hours.

Back to Central America the very next day as the Chaparrastique volcano left, in El Salvador spouted a plume of ash and hot gases between 1,500 meters and 2,000 meters (yards) high and officials said the ash could move close to the capital San Salvador.
A day later and it's back to Indonesia as Mount Egon officials order an evacuation of residents as "an imminent eruption or disaster" was expected!

The volcano fest continued as Russia's Zhupanovsky volcano spewed ash 8 kilometers [5 miles] into the Eastern Kamchatka sky a day later.
Then on the 19th, 41,000 people were evacuated as the Popocatepetl volcano, just 35 miles from Mexico City leashed a potentially deadly eruption, after another Mexican volcano, the Colima, sent out a 1.8-mile high eruption earlier this month, leaving authorities and scientists to worry about an event which would make "Black Friday" look like a day out at Disney!
A year without summer will happen again and Western Civilisation is not prepared!
The current "period of seismic unrest is one of the largest ever recorded in a volcano globally". Iceland’s own Civil Protection and Emergency Management has said.
Imagine a winter plunged into darkness, unbearable cold, massive storms, constant flooding, raging winds and none stop rain and snow.
Throw in travel disruption, flood and wind damage to houses and infrastructure, livestock deaths, the demand on the grid system and the emergency services and you have a very plausible possibility for the western civilisation in the coming months, how do we know?
Because it has already happened, in 1816, which is known as "The Year Without a Summer!"
The summer of 1816 was not like any summer people could remember.
                                Snow fell in New England.
