The largest earthquake to strike New Zealand in many years has now struck.
A large M7.2 (M7.1) has struck just North of the shores of NZ.
Ironically, in a very strange twist of fate, our mutual online friend Animattronic (Matt) who has made ALL my animations is now in New Zealand on the North Island in Wellington.

Thanks, John. I'm bookmarking it. He opens by saying he was taken off You Tube for a few days, probably when I was looking for it. That's just crazy. Why would they censure him and earthquake reporting?

This hit early enough I was still sound asleep but a coworker of mine was at work and it really scared her. We're on the 6th floor and apparently it really shook the building.

I've never felt an earthquake and hope I never do! It must be one of the scariest feelings there are, to have the ground underneath you moving and everything falling and being destroyed.
