The End of MWM
Greetings all,
Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.
Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.
What a glorious day that will be.
In Christ alone,
Andy

Re: Geithner predicts long hardships ahead for America
How’s this for good news? Timothy Geithner, the secretary of the United States Treasury, says hardships will hit America for “a long time to come.” Now that’s not very positive, is it?
Speaking to NBC’s Meet The Press on Sunday, Geithner said that President Barack Obama saved the States from a second Great Depression but said it will be quite a while before people can actually feel a recovery.
Alright, so the economy isn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows right now. But it’ll get better soon, right?
“It's going to feel very hard, harder than anything they've experienced in their lifetime now, for a long time to come,” said Geithner.
Ouch.
The secretary added that’ll take “something very big” and “very substantial” to bring the United States’ deficit back down to something manageable.
IssacharThe church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.
Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken - dylan
Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

Re: Geithner predicts long hardships ahead for America
Is Geithner talking about Super Inflation? A loaf of bread $15, carton of eggs $12, 1 pound hamburger $20, a gallon of milk $18, a tank of gas $200. Are those numbers too low?
Yes, we need something very big and very substantial to get the whole world out of this mess. Gosh, maybe we need a very wise man to bring the whole world under one economy and one government and one religion, using a system that really works, like the Sharia Law... just as a starting point?
I'm kidding... but I'm not... unfortunately for the inhabitants of the earth after we're gone.
