The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

Comet Panstarrs will be visible in night sky. March 8th - 12th it will be near the cresent moon just after sunset. There are some good photos and and decent map at the link below.

There’s a lot of excitement about Comet ISON, which might become a very bright comet, visible across the globe, by the end of 2013. But, before that happens, a second comet is on track to become visible to the eye alone when it’s closest to the sun in March of 2013.

Great post from HSB to look for this year:

    http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/spectacul...ted-this-year/

Comet ISON may be brighter than any during the last century, up to 15 times brighter than a full moon, some estimate!

It is occurring during the end of the 11 year solar cycle for the Sun, also!

The sun is in an active phase of its current 11-year weather cycle, which scientists call Solar Cycle 24. The sun's activity cycle is expected to reach its peak (or "solar maximum") in 2013, astronomers have said.

This makes me think of the latter half of the Tribulation in Revelation 16:8-9

The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire.

They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him

A meteor lit up the skies over the Bay Area in California in what experts say is debris from Halley's Comet.

"Basically, you saw small car-sized pieces of rock and metal from the asteroid belt, crashing through layers of earth's atmosphere, ionizing and setting the air on fire in its wake," Jonathan Braidman, astronomer at the Chabot Space and Science Center, told KGO.
    Update:

The woman in the following video seems to think it is not from Halley?

New comet, named C/2012 S1 (ISON)

A new comet has been discovered that is predicted to blaze incredibly brilliantly in the skies during late 2013. With a perihelion passage of less than two million kilometres from the Sun on 28 November 2013, current predictions are of an object that will dazzle the eye at up to magnitude —16. That's far brighter than the full Moon. If predictions hold true then C/2012 S1 will certainly be one of the greatest comets in human history, far outshining the memorable Comet Hale-Bopp of 1997 and very likely to outdo the long-awaited Comet Pan-STARRS (C/2011 L4) which is set to stun in March 2013.....

Asteroid to fly by Earth Thursday: How to watch online
    Published September 13, 2012
    Space.com

A newfound asteroid that may be the size of three football fields will whiz by Earth Thursday Sept. 13, and you can watch the close encounter live online.
Asteroid 2012 QG42 is between 625 feet to 1,400 feet wide (190 to 430 meters) and was first spotted by scientists last month. Researchers say the space rock has no chance of hitting Earth this week when it makes its closest approach on Thursday.
