I am getting into this discussion late and blame it on getting too consumed with my new house purchase (my little god unfortunately - I Repent), but wanted to point out that some have said because Rosh occurs over 2 days, it had a special name? Since the Priests did not have the ability to know exactly which of the 2 days they would see the first "sliver" of the moon, they called it THE DAY NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR HOUR! I have often wondered if this was God winking and giving us a hint of when He will return?

Well, my heart beats a little faster in anticipation when Feast of Trumpets comes around,,, hoping, hoping, hoping. Especially this year! It seems like the perfect storm is brewing this September. I really don't want to see what 2012 has in store, know what I mean? What we're know now with our current Birth pangs, signs in the heavens and earth, Middle East wars, global economic collapse, apostasy, debauchery, wickedness etc., etc. More of that is coming. I'm so Homesick!

Astronomers Observe Colossal Saturn Storm

It began as a bright white dot in Saturn’s northern hemisphere. Within days, the dot grew larger and stormier.

Soon the tempest enveloped the ringed planet, triggering lightning flashes thousands of times more intense than on Earth.

The international Cassini spacecraft and ground telescopes have been tracking the turbulence since last December, visible from Earth as a type of storm known as a “Great White Spot.”

Such planet-wide weather disturbances are rare on Saturn, where the atmosphere is typically hazy and calm. Since 1876, astronomers have observed only five other megastorms on Saturn.

“This is a one-of-a-kind storm,” said Andrew Ingersoll, a self-described planetary weatherman at the California Institute of Technology, who was part of the discovery team.

Rosh Hashanah this year September 28, 2011-September 30, 2011

A thought occured to me last night. What if it comes early or later? Like the sun rose early by 2 day in Greenland. Rosh Hashannah begins based on the sighting of the new moon. Now that would really be no one knows day or hour, and would be a surprise.

Interesting idea Debbie? But as this video shows (best part starts at 4:30) the church will know the day, within 2 days of a future Rosh, at least, due to Rosh occuring over 2 days and being known as "The Day No Man Knows The Day or Hour". Rosh is also known as the "The Thief in Night" day, also! Something new to me! Also, new to me is the reference in Rev 16:15 to the "Captain of the Guard" being referred to as the "Thief in the Night", whose job it was to try and catch any priests falling asleep rather than keeping the altar fire lit! Heavy stuff! There are 7 or more parts to this video and I have only watched the first.

Huge Asteroid to Pass Near Earth in November

Mark your calendars for an impressive and upcoming flyby of an asteroid that’s one of the larger potentially perilous space rocks in the heavens – in terms of smacking the Earth in the future.

It’s the case of asteroid 2005 YU55, a round mini-world that is about 1,300 feet (400 meters) in diameter. In early November, this asteroid will approach Earth within a scant 0.85 lunar distances. [Photo of Asteroid 2005 YU55]

Due the object’s size and whisking by so close to Earth, an extensive campaign of radar, visual and infrared observations are being planned.

On average, one wouldn’t expect an object this big to pass this close but every 30 years,” said Don Yeomans, manager of NASA’s Near-Earth Object Program Office and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. Initially, the object will be too close to the sun and too faint for optical observers. But late in the day (Universal Time) on Nov. 8, the solar elongation will grow sufficiently to see it. Cosmic blast in distant galaxy that has so far lasted for 11 DAYS puzzles scientists

Gamma-ray explosions normally last a couple of days
Reminiscent of a space invaders computer game from the early 1980s, this is actually a cosmic blast in a distant galaxy.

The extraordinary gamma-ray explosion was observed on March 28 by Nasa's Swift satellite.

It has left astronomers scratching their heads - because it has so far lasted an incredible 11 days.

The burst was likely caused by a star that was ripped apart after drifting too close to a super-massive black hole.

When minor planets Ceres and Vesta rock the Earth into chaos

Astronomy & Astrophysics is publishing a new study of the orbital evolution of minor planets Ceres and Vesta, a few days before the flyby of Vesta by the Dawn spacecraft. A team of astronomers found that close encounters among these bodies lead to strong chaotic behavior of their orbits, as well as of the Earth's eccentricity.

Astronomy & Astrophysics is publishing numerical simulations of the long-term evolution of the orbits of minor planets Ceres and Vesta, which are the largest bodies in the asteroid belt, between Mars and Jupiter. Ceres is 6000 times less massive than the Earth and almost 80 times less massive than our Moon. Vesta is almost four times less massive than Ceres. These two minor bodies, long thought to peacefully orbit in the asteroid belt, are found to affect their large neighbors and, in particular, the Earth in a way that had not been anticipated.

Although small, Ceres and Vesta gravitationally interact together and with the other planets of the Solar System. Because of these interactions, they are continuously pulled or pushed slightly out of their initial orbit. Calculations show that, after some time, these effects do not average out. Consequently, the bodies leave their initial orbits and, more importantly, their orbits are chaotic, meaning that we cannot predict their positions.

Updated link of Virgo giving birth to Venus. cf. with Revelation 12 also see events colliding for September 2011 which may prove to be an interesting month. We should ask for understanding from the HS and be in prayer as things are coming upon the earth that show our Lord is coming soon.

Wendy, what are your feelings about what this constellation means?

That is incredible, that this constellation only appears on September 29th.

I just re-read your post #14.

The constellation Virgo --the virgin has the sun at her head and the moon at her feet and Saturn is at her mid section and venus in her womb. Is she concieving the Seed of the Serpent ( Galatians talks about two seeds) the new land of palestine, being taken out of Israel? As the link below shows, venus--the planet symbol for satan passes as born between her legs.

I think that the rev 12 is refering to both Christ and the birth of the nation of Israel--the dragon who tried to kill Israel at its birth. BUT I wonder if now we are seeing a shadow fulfillment in the birth of the Pally state and Jesus the bright and morning star will come and devour the child. Does anyone understand what I am trying to say? I wonder if those with better minds than min,if you have insight. I am not date setting , I am just wondering a bunch of things. I think that Virgo birthing Venus is interesting as it happens Sept 28,29.

Wow again! The P.A. plans to get the UN on September 29 to give half of Israel's land and Jerusalem to them by vote.
But God is telling the world He will devour the Palestinian state because that's HIS Land, that the so-called Palestinians have stolen from His Chosen People. I think the sign in the sky tells that story, which is cross references Psalm 83, where God gives Israel victory over the Muslim Arab nations that war with her over this division of God's land. Apparently this "Palestinian state" will be short lived. I think Feasts of the Lord tell the story of Jesus. The Spring Feasts tell of his First coming. And the Fall Feasts tell the story of His Second Coming.

I think the Constellation Virgo tells the other story of the birth of the Palestinian state and God destroying it, thus perhaps restoring the land back to Israel (with a complete fulfillment of Genesis 13 during the Millennium).

I think the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah tells the story of the Rapture of the Church. I hope it's not a coincidence that both signs take place on the same day.

I really have no clue what it is. As for my pictures (the dark ones at night time), I will continue taking more, trying to figure it out.
