Why? I'm not sure what you're asking 'why' about but one thing is certain from scripture: God speaks to mankind through creation. In fact it's what's listed as the reason God says that man is "without excuse" in Romans 1. He sends signs throughout creation so man will see that He is there. The complexity of a DNA strand - the fact that no two snowflakes are the same even though countless numbers have fallen from the sky over the thousands of years ... on and on. God makes it clear that there is something MUCH greater than creation itself - the Creator. One sign He has set forth in scripture ("Who has ears to hear, let him hear") is listed in Revelation 12. If indeed this is what it means then He is proving that the scriptures are accurate so we will believe.

John 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

God wants man to believe in His Son. His Son was born of a virgin. The Father wants ALL eyes to look toward Him for in Him alone is life and hope.

Is that the "Why" you were asking or something else?

There are signs in the heavens and no doubt , there will be more.
And...I expect we will have perfect hind sight after the rapture as to what they all meant. All I know now is that I am waiting with expectation and I am not afraid to be excited when I see things because I am convinced that Who I have believed, will come for us , JUST AS HE SAID. I can't help my imperfect understandings or my impatience to go home. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

      Wendy

I'm still looking up! My expectation draws near.

The Draconid Meteor Shower – A Storm is Coming!

by Adrian West on October 3, 2011

The Draconids are coming! Will this meteor shower produce a storm of observable meteors, or just a minor squall? The Draconid Meteor Show should begin on October 8, 2011 starting at dusk (roughly 19:00 BST) and continue through the evening. Peak activity of this normally minor and quiet shower is estimated to be at 21:00 BST (20:00 UT). There seems to be a wide range of predictions for this year’s shower, but some astronomers believe there could be up to 1,000 meteors per hour, making this a meteor storm!

The Draconids or Giacobinids as they are also known, radiate from a point in the constellation of Draco the Dragon in the Northern hemisphere. In the past, notably in 1933 and 1946, the Draconids turned into a meteor storm with meteor rates of more than one every second!

So, will this year bring us a storm? Astronomers believe so as the predicted path of the Earth through the debris streams of comet 21P/Giacobini-Ziner is favorable for a major storm, similar to what has been seen in previous years. Some reports say NASA is even considering the potential risk of damage to the International Space Station and other satellites due to meteroid impacts.

The Draconid Meteor Shower is smack
dab in the middle of the Sept 28 - Nov 24, 2011 or Revelation 12:1-5

"Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with
seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads."

The Constellation Drago, the Dragon, is posed above Virgo at this
time, ready to snatch the child the minute it's born.

"His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them
to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to
give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born."

Just interesting, the timing of it all.

The usually humdrum Draconid meteor shower is set to go into overdrive this weekend: Astronomers predict that Saturday's sky show may be a not just a shower but a storm.
If the forecasts are correct, the Draconids could see peak rates of up to 600 meteors an hour—an outburst that would far outpace even the crowd-pleasing August Perseids. (See Perseid pictures: "Meteor Shower Dazzles Every August.")
The possibility of a meteor storm has NASA and other spacecraft operators keeping keen eyes on how the Draconids might affect the International Space Station (ISS) and other satellites currently in Earth's orbit.
The biggest hazard to satellites during a meteor shower is electrostatic discharge associated with meteor impacts.

Halley's Comet to Put on Meteor Show Next Week

If you step outside before dawn during the next week or so, you might try to catch a view of some "cosmic litter" that has been left behind in space by Halley's Comet: the Orionid meteor shower.

The Orionids can best be described as a junior version of the famous Perseid meteor shower. This year's Orionids show is scheduled to reach its maximum before sunrise on the morning of Oct. 22.

Interesting information, Butterfly! I was not aware of the Pacific Rim Tsunami test on the 9th and 10th of 2011, around the same time as our US test (2pm EST, 11-9-11)! Very curious?

The pdf document says it is the Exercise Pacific Wave 11 . There is that number 11 again! It sure seems to come up a lot? Just coincidental I know!

It is curious that MrCometwatch has a concern that the government will download something on to his computer during the 3 minute test and consequently is going to unplug his computers at that time and instead watch it on his TV!. Not sure that I want to be that paranoid but each person must decide for themselves.

Also, just noticed that in the pdf document, provided by MrCometWatch, the simulated quake, causing the tsunami, is located in the Gulf of Alaska (pg. 25 of 57). Curiously, this is just to the east of Google's large "X" that is on their Google Earth software! Coincidence or not or just that Google is in concert with the exercise!

I think these large sunspots are very important signs in the sun. Nothing to take lightly and will be very significant in 2012. Shows NASA's stats on sun spotless days. Pretty scary if you ask me. In 2009 total sun spotless days 260 days; 2011 as of Nov. 1, only 2 sun spotless days...
