  • Re: Signs in the heavens

Very cool picture Boston. I remember my husband and I driving home one night down country roads and saw Hale-bopp. We even pulled the car over to watch it for awhile, wondering what it was. Then news on the radio said what it was.

every area of the country has astronomy clubs that meet regularly.
They would LOVE to have anybody come out with them and
see how to use a good telescope, find things in the night sky,
use a wight board to observe sun spots. ect

they usually have some good pieces of equipment and can
really teach you the sky. Its worth thinking about.
I never seen you say that, must've missed it but that is something I'd love to do, however I have no way to get to anything like that. 20 miles is to far too walk, lol

We took the kids for homeschool years ago one night, everybody loved it but I never had the time to do it regularly. Too busy just trying to survive. But don’t worry, one day we will be really up-close to the stars and seeing them from the other side.

So whenever you have the sun up the odds of seeing anything in outer space is practically nil, unless its super bright like Venus. That’s why I can’t think that you caught and space object in your vid.

Now if you want to talk UFO, that’s another story ( I saw something just this year that messed my head. I ½ way have “sky eyes” where I can tell certain things that I’m looking at but this was just freaky )

The guy said these could be the Nephews of Elenin, the traveling companions and that Elenin can be seen in the Southern Hemisphere. With the next few days more will be revealed.

Comet Elenin Scientific Evidence Of Mass 20 Times Greater Than Earth

Interesting article. Worth the read I think.

Gravitational Microlensing shown on Nasa videos

“Comet” Elenin has enough mass to cause “gravitational microlensing”, as shown in the Nasa Stereo Behind videos from August 1, and August 20, 2011.
Nasa has made 2200 observations of Comet Elenin, and has published NONE of the still images! Probably, many of their images show gravitational microlensing, so they CANNOT show their own images, without disclosing the large mass of the object.

Did you describe what you saw somewhere here on Wedg for me to check out? That sounds fascinating.

Bright Fireball Blazes Across High Desert, Oregon

A bright fireball streaking across the sky Wednesday night was seen by dozens, likely hundreds or more Oregonians as it blazed an east-to-west trail over the Cascades and apparently well out over the Pacific Ocean. But an expert in such matters said it was not, as many surmised, an early arrival of the large falling satellite expected to plummet to Earth on Friday.

The Supermoon Is Coming! The Supermoon Is Coming!

Several months ago, I wrote a post about the supermoon that gathered a lot of attention. To read this post, please click here.

Anyway, in a couple of days, another supermoon will occur. A supermoon, by definition, is when the Earth, moon and sun are all in a line at the same time that the moon is at its closest approach to Earth. To be a supermoon, the moon has to be either full or new, or else the "line" mentioned above would not be in effect. This supermoon will take place on Sept. 27.

Basically, the supermoon causes an increase of the gravitational pull on the Earth by the two celestial bodies that influence the gravitational pull the most, the sun and the moon. When these bodies are lined up, such as during a new or full moon, the two gravitational pulls of these bodies act in concert on the Earth. That is why the tides are astronomically higher during a full or new moon. When the sun and moon are not lined up, they cancel each other out somewhat. When the moon is at perigee (its closest pass to the Earth), the gravitational pull of the moon on the Earth is also slightly stronger. So all of these facts cause an increased gravitational pull on the Earth during a supermoon.

So, we'll have a supermoon along with the alignment.

Same day as the 5 planet alignment with Elenin with Elenin is as close as it is to earth. Same day as Obama goes to Denver International Airport. And Massive terror exercise planned for Denver metro area tomorrow.
