Israel's oil could be some of the spoil that Gog and Magog (Russia and other Islamic nations) invade Israel to take, after Israel is at peace with the Arabs because of the peace treaty which the whole world will know about?

Ezekiel 38

And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Some very interesting articles from the National Post about oil developments- in particular the shale deposits. There is a new technology that has very minor environmental impact, thanks to work done by the chief scientist at Shell Oil. Israel will be a major player. Check out the articles. I do have a concern about the big names mentioned - Rothschild, Murdoch, Cheney et al. But the future of energy supply is getting most exciting.
PS I do hope that this new technique could be used in Alberta. I understand they have been using the old approach of digging huge open pits, etc with enormous demands for fresh water.
