I've been having a lot of back pain for several months now, and just haven't felt like spending much time on the computer. I had a second injection into my back last Tuesday. So far, I've not had to take any narcotic pain killer - 5 days, now... \o/ I'm praying that it will stay this way.
The rain in Spain - no, that's not right - has been mainly on the plain(s) over in the central part of the state. We're actually on the Western side of the Continental Divide, kinda up in the mountains. We have had a lot of spit-n-drizzle, but not much real "rain."
Thanks for thinking about me Dove, I really appreciate that. I remember you all in my prayers. I haven't gone anywhere.
When I injured my back in my fall in 1995 this is what helped me through the pain. I still have compression in L2 but the pain is tolerable.
You can order the TENS Unit from Amazon.com. They have different price ranges. They are an amazing little unit and truly help block the pain. Keeps one off the pain meds
I, also, did not know you were still having pain. Praying for you PB. And a tens unit can be a good thing--along with a specialist in pain management.
THAT, GH, has been very key for me...finding a GOOD pain mgmt specialist. After 34+ years of living with (not "in" - big difference) chronic pain it looks like I've finally found a good one...PTL
I hope you feel better with your back both Plumbob and Andy. I understand that sometimes the injections work and then they don't but I hope they help in your cases. Pain Management is a good thing also, with the best doctor you can find who will prescribe good physical therapy to get you back on track. Don't forget to take some walks if you can, that has helped me as it loosen's up the back.
Mine isn't my back...the details aren't important, I'm just thankful I have finally found a doctor that seems to have a good game-plan for me. This is a first after going to countless doctors over the last 3 decades. "We'll try this first" (nerve block almost 2 weeks ago, now) "and if that doesn't take then we'll try this next..." etc. She's GOOD.

I worked with patients who have seen countless doctors and nothing good happened to them to make them feel better. I pray this new doctor, will get to the root course of your problem and then let the healing begin. Wish you the best..
