Hi, everyone - I just read through the thread where some of y'all have felt ignored due to folks not responding.
I don't know about everyone else but sometimes it takes me just too long to read every post in every thread. (BTW, that's one BIG reason we have an Advisory Board that helps the 3 Moderators keep an eye on things - the more eyes we have the better).
With that said I want to pass on just a few stats on our site - so hopefully we'll understand better why maybe a post we put out just may not always be read, or read and responded to before it gets dropped down.

To help explain these numbers - hits is the number of times the server was requested for information. One "click" can result in multiple hits as the server sends a user several files to make the page come up...including images.
Visits - that's the number of times someone came to WeDG. This number does NOT go up if someone stays on the site for several hours/days and just keeps bouncing between pages (threads, posts, etc). If you have your home page set directly to WeDG then it will count as one each time you open a new browser and it "lands" on WeDG.
Thankfully we have a host that allows for ALL of this and then some. We still have plenty of room to grow before we have to purchase additional bandwidth, file-transfers, etc.
I do not post this to brag (or anything else) - just to help folks realize we get a LOT of people coming through and posting (this doesn't represent the number of posts in a month) - thus, it can be very possible to have a post/thread just not be seen by the right person/people.
I think one person suggested "bumping" a thread if it's falling off and an answer hasn't been given. Just open your post/thread and hit "reply" and put "Bumping back to the top" or something like that - it'll put it back on the top of the list so more people will see it.
Hope this helps folks not to feel left out! Keep on posting - sometimes something is posted where no one really has a response (if it's not a question) but the info is good anyway - post away!!
Christian love to all (even if sometimes I forget how to show it with my words
)
