    what is easiest best graphics program

    to replace my old photoshop, and movie editing ........ knowing that I have no geekeness ....( I'm thinking of getting a rotary dial phone) .... Instead of trying to relearn my 10 old photoshop lite, what new and so much better and not too many $$$ $$$ ???

    Lewis, I suspect you would absolutely love using Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. Though listed for $99 each .. I think (not more), you can usually buy both together for like $129ish. I always thought they were not powerful enough, but recently (last Dec.) I had need to do some video work on a Windows 7 machine and my Premiere Pro wouldn't work on it and it was one version too old to get the upgrade ... and there was no way I could spend six or seven hundred dollars on it. So I though, "hmmm .. I wonder if Premiere Elements would let me do what I want?" It certainly did .. and then some! So I was going to get it for $99. I discovered I could get both for $129. So I did. I use Photoshop CS3 (full version) and discovered that Elements 9 had some things in it that my CS3 version did not have so now I use both .. depending.

    The number of websites for Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements is amazing as is all the free plugins available, etc.

      I did not read the small print Lewis, but at the bottom right corner here, Adobe has them both for $119.

      edit to add: BTW, you can download and use any Adobe product free for 30 days to see it you like them or not.

        can I adjust picture file sizes, change to html, import & work with layers, select/lasso
        backgrounds or objects to delete or change/ fill w color, type in various fonts, texts

        in the elements ???

            I have had arcsoft photostudio 5.5 for some time. it came with a camera..... it has layers and effects-- but I cant drag another picture graphic into a separate layer like you can with photoshop to merge them .....

              I just opened Photoshop Elements 9 and it is no problem to drag and drop photos onto one another, creating a layer for each, resizing any number of layers, changing transparency ... whatever you want, apparently. BTW .. but you probably already know this .. this is called "compositing." You may want to search that term with photoshop elements 9 ..

                I found the photostudio web site chatroom... someone there said I can ... ... put a neat tree/object from another picture into the photo I'm working on by coping the tree/object then pasting the tree/object into my photo .... this automatically makes another layer which I can then easily opaque any percent I want.......

                in photoshop you just select,(( the object you want from a second photo you open)) drag and drop.....
