1st Kings 6:1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which [is] the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
When was Solomon’s temple built?
Kind of depends who you ask
But likely between about 960-980 BC
This puts the Exodus from Egypt 480 years earlier, around the 1440’s BC
Now looking at the timelines of the other prominent civilizations of that time, suddenly it all makes sense….. The Exodus happened at the same time as the eruption/ Tsunami in the Aegean east of Greece which destroyed the Minoan civilization on Crete and disturbed Egypt.
We also note the interesting quote that there was a different dynasty in Egypt at the time of the Exodus from what was in Joseph’s time, era 1840BC …….
