The Hebrew encyclopedia and other sources say that at the time of the 2nd revolt from Rome in 135, The Hebrew leaders wanted the book of Daniel to say their leader was the Messiah. They refigured the calendar subtracting 240 years. In the confusion later, no one corrected this error. In reality, it’s the year 6010/11.
