  • Economic collapse by July?

The quake has shut off the flow of parts for everything from Japan.......
This will seriously effect the quarterly earnings reports of most companies resulting in stock market losses--- how severe we dont know---by July we could have financial collapses across the world........

chaos of Biblical proportions could happen...... time will tell..... if we are still here

    I agree with you Lewis.

The second half of this year will see a lot of turmoil in the markets, even if Japan were not a factor. But Obama's speech Wednesday night will be a great comfort for all of us, won't it?

The pipeline of parts from Japan inlcludes the relatively slow boats that bring them all here, to Europe and parts of Asia. That pipeline will empty out .. or start to, around the middle of April.

Rising gas prices and food prices and homes underwater and this is just to mention a few. We are in real trouble and it's time for serious prayer for each other that we may have strength and great faith thru it all.

This year going to next year will be unlike we have never seen before.

Here's a statement of interest from the IMF today (April 12) saying we do not have a credible plan to get our house in order.

US lacks credibility on debt, says IMF

The US lacks a “credible strategy” to stabilize its mounting public debt posing a small but significant risk of a new global economic crisis, says the International Monetary Fund.

In an unusually stern rebuke to its largest shareholder, the IMF said the US was the only advanced economy to be increasing its underlying budget deficit in 2011 at a time when its economy was growing fast enough to reduce borrowing.

The latest warning on the deficit was delivered as Barack Obama, the US president, is becoming increasingly engaged in the debate over ways to curb America’s mounting debt.
