Conflict Diamonds Gold
As was recently noted on 60 minutes, much of the diamonds and gold finding its way to the west has come from war torn Africa, Liberia to the Congo.....
Sadly, the great diamond producers with traditional monopolies in diamonds especially want to keep their monopolies and so call everyone else's diamonds illigitimate, conflict diamonds/gold-- Of course hiding their own sordid past in exploiting native labor.
Politics is of course part of it in that the diamonds produced by the side/ tribe the west supports are "legitimate" but the side produced by the side/tribe the west opposes are "blood diamonds" to be opposed........
Once again, the sin nature of people without Jesus is on vivid display.........
and the elite monopolists have vastly more blood on their hands than do local tribal leaders
