I understand the context of Hebrews 12:1-5 (I believe) is about the Lord's discipline.
But I wasn't even thinking about God disciplining us when I posted it or even us falling into sin because of weariness.
What keeps me encouraged when I get weary and tired of the world is fixing my eyes on Jesus and running the race that has been set before me. Sin is all around us and it can distract us while we are on this Christin path. But if we fix our eyes on Jesus and look at His example, how He endured worse then what we are enduring and focused on what was waiting for Him at the end, hopefully we can be encouraged by His example and continue on in spite of it all. It just gives me a boost, I wasn't trying to criticize anyone for feeling weary.

I'm sorry for not explaining myself when I posted a Scripture and used it out of context.

Beautifully put, sister Roro - thank you! Part of God making us in to the image of His Son is indeed having to 'chip off the rough spots' sometimes with gentle (if we're listening!) discipline...harsh discipline if we're not listening. Fixing our eyes on our Savior definitely forms us into His image...and allows the Father to guide us by His eye instead of with the rod or staff. Fix our eyes on Him and just a gentle glance in the direction of where He wants us to go is all it takes.
