i got a call from a friend that is NON-rapture person, and the conversation got
around to "moat" and Daniel 9.

Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Problem: The first 69 weeks were complete when the Jews crucified their Messiah. The going forth of the order to rebuild Jerusalem (and the "moat"??) happened several hundred years (69 x 7) before Messiah rode into Jerusalem and then was slain "for the sins of others".

I had all of this mapped out, with the historical events, years ago when I hosted a 4-week prophecy seminar but I don't know if I could find it again. Something specific happened at the end of the 7 weeks (49 years) from the time the order to rebuild Jerusalem was given...then 62 weeks later (434 years) Messiah rode into Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey. Then AFTER those 434 years (after Messiah has ridden into Jerusalem) He is cut off...etc.

This is all history...the finaly 'week' (or 7 years) appears to yet be in our future
