I don’t at all discount the New England earthquake scenario, one of my favorite hikes is purgatory chasm which was thought to be formed by an 8 point New England earthquake some 500 years ago (if memory serves correct …).

Interesting they have changed that theory …

The first theory on the formation of Purgatory Chasm was actually an earthquake. Now many geologists believe that racing torrents of melted glacial ice are responsible for this landmark.

But

This threads activity I think is on the wrong side of the Appalachian Mountains to be New England indicators.

I keep an eye more on the east coast tsunami danger from that African volcano island …
