  • Libya envoy: World has 10 hours to act against Gaddafi

The international community has 10 hours to act against troops loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, who are preparing to slaughter his opponents, an anti-Gaddafi Libyan diplomat said on Wednesday.

"We think that ... in the coming hours, we will see a real genocide in Ajdabiyah if the international community does not move quickly and prevent him from attacking it with a large force," Libya's deputy U.N. envoy, Ibrahim Dabbashi, told reporters.

On Fox this morning they said that 5 reporters from the US have disappeared and it is assumed that they are in government hands. Also, they said that a group of women and children have been killed.

Re: Libya envoy: World has 10 hours to act against Gaddafi

I still can't figure why the international community thinks it's their right, responsibility or business to interfere in what amounts to a civil war. Imagine if some huge force had come back in the 1800's and decided the South was the one that was right and poured troops and resources in their fight against the Union. Quite a different outcome.

In essence that's what's happening here...the controlling government (Gaddafi/our Union) is trying to crush the opposition ("Rebels" and that's what the South was called) so suddenly the Rebels get massive help by the rest of the world...and Gaddafi/the Union falls.

Really weird watching our world trying to globalize. Note how now Fox is talking about "women and children" so the lame-stream media can get the sympathy of the American People for those "poor Rebels".
