    Yeah,

Here in Portland, there are a few who are looking for potassium iodine, not many though. As an radiation worker in the medical field, everyone gets a certain amount of background radiation anyway, being in the sun, flying in aircraft including Jumbo jets, radon from the soil, etc. It's not that big a deal
till they tell you to need start worrying. So those who are worried relax.

BC Canada--I just went out on a pharmacy crawl to see who had potassium iodide and out of the two I went to they said they were sold out.
The first pharmacy said that they were out and the pharmacist gave me this look , like "you dumb over reactor".
Then I was prepared for the 2nd pharmacist who said that in the last year he has had only 3 requests for it, all in the last two days.
He says they would order it in usually but there has been a hold on it by the releasing agency who was told to hold it back due to
a run on it by the Canadian public. He said if there was a need for it they would release it, but didnt want more harm being done by
the public to themselves. I said that the public is pretty well educated and the ones asking for it now were those who are the thinkers and
preparers who dont wait till the govt steps in too late and we are people who like to avoid hysteria and crowds.

He agreed and we chatted but that was the gist of things. I would like to have the product to take or not to take as my info and intelligence
would dictate. I guess I can paint myself orange with cow iodine and eat oranges and bananas

I was radiated by Chernobyl in 1986 when the govt told us that there was nothing to be worried about in Germany when the prevailing wind weather came through Danmark and down to us. They gave us little radiation disks and told us to wash our food and we would be okay. I was in my early 20's and never gave it a second thought. I never even inquired about the radiation disk reading when we had to hand them back in. I'm not sure if we had potassium idodide pills to take or not --too far back in time. I wish I had been more on the ball.
