    Strong earthquake shakes Japan (7.9)

    TOKYO, March 11 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude 7.9 earthquake rattled northeastern Japan on Friday and up to six-metre tsunami alert was issued after the powerful quake.

          Horrifying is exactly right. the 13 ft tsunami devastating. Fox is reporting 8.9 biggest earthquake in Japan's history.

          Tsunami warning in Hawaii and pacific west coast.

          Assoc. Press is reporting the tsunami as 23 ft. Now I'm not sure what the correct number is. Guess it does not matter, this country need our prayer very much.

            The quake triggers a tsunami that threatens much of the Pacific. In Tokyo, all trains are halted and plumes of smoke rise over the skyline. It's the biggest quake in Japan in 140 years, with more than 50 believed dead and scores missing.

                They're saying up to 3-4 foot wave in NORTHERN Cal .. Hawaii to be hit by wave within minutes.

                    Japan reporting finding 200 to 300 bodies on the beach.

                    They are reporting that a passenger train is missing.

                        I am amazed at how it was initially reported at a much lower 7.9. Two hours later, they had the true magnitude recorded. We are indeed in the end times! Come, Lord Jesus!

                              Growing pressure inside a Japanese nuclear power plant, crippled by today's devastating earthquake, has triggered widespread evacuations and stoked fears of a potentially catastrophic radioactive event.

                              "Given the large quantity of irradiated nuclear fuel in the pool, the radioactivity release could be worse than the Chernobyl nuclear reactor catastrophe of 25 years ago."

                              Japanese officials said radiation has not yet leaked from the plant, but ordered 2,800 people living around the facility to evacuate their homes as a precaution.
