  • The almost "Super Bowl" ad of John 3:16

The "Super Bowl" ad you will NOT see tomorrow!

This ad was rejected by the Fox Network. However, you can see it here - http://lookup316.com/?page_id=141

I hope you will watch it, and then read the story behind the rejection.

Just another sign of the times in which we live.

Thought the ad was a good one! So sad that it won't be seen on the Super Bowl - hope that many see it through the internet. Thanks, Ron.

In this PC world we live in Fox sees it as - "If we accept THIS 'religious ad' then we'd have to accept them all".

I have to admit I'm glad they won't be promoting Islam, either. It is interesting, however, how many times I've seen the ads put out by the Mormon's.

Yes, at one time it meant "Politically Correct".

But now, it means "Post Christian".

Don't want to be picky here or high jack this thread, but having been made aware of the soon to be 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible did anyone pick-up on the translation of John 3:16 used in the Prophecy News Watch report and for the website the ad was for? It was the NIV.

          From the article:
"Specifically, the network has rejected a 30-second spot from the Christian apologetics group Fixed Point Foundation advertising its website, lookup316.com. The goal of the site, as its main page communicates, is to offer a “message of hope” base on the well-known New Testament scripture John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The KJV says:......only "begotten" Son. There is a difference between "only begotten" and "one and only".

          just thinking outloud.........

Surprise! Surprise! That ad was indeed shown. I guess FOX had a change of heart.
