The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • Supreme Court: Jerusalem must fund gay community

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...953878,00.html

After years of tense waiting, Jerusalem's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community will finally receive funding from the city's municipality for its Open House center, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday.

Justice Hayut added that the gay community should be granted the special status it receives in other cities in Israel, which would guarantee that funding be provided for its activities.

    Revelation 11:7-9

7And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Yes the stage is being set and may just about be ready for the curtains to pull back.

Apparently no one ... well, almost no one, over there reads the prophets?

As it was in the days of Noe ... rampant homosexuality, the earth filled with violence ... just where do these "judges" think all this licentiousness will lead? Assuming they actually think.

Issachar, believes that VERY few "leaders" of the world could hook up a home entertainment center since one would need to know which connectors are inputs and which are outputs .. They'd likely be hooking up outputs to outputs and blowing up things.
The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

        Romans 1:
        21
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
        28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

        Titus 1:
        16
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Issachar, not concerned that those who claim there is no God, commit abomination ... salvation will cure that, but those that "claim" to know God? They won't have a good ending ..
The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Next month I have my two northern siblings coming down to where my brother and I live. It's been over a year since the 4 of us hv been together...I'm really looking forward to it (we have an extremely close-knit family!). Last night I told my bride I have a feeling this will be the last time the 4 of us meet together on earth. "Why?" was her legitimate question.

Articles like this, added to all the rest of what we study and talk about here so clearly tell so many of us that time is extremely short. Whether economic conditions turn our world completely upside down, war/terrorism or the rapture...I just don't think things are going to be status quo in the coming months. Of course I don't fancy myself a prophet and understand I could be totally wrong...but somehow I just think we really ARE (this time) going to have some major changes that will make such travels nearly impossible in the coming months.

(All the while hoping I'm wrong about anything except the rapture happening!)

            Likewise

But ... I think a lot of folks are believing that there will be a Republican landslide win in November and that it will turn around some things. I think that there could be a landslide win .. at least a pretty good win .. but I don't think it will turn around much of anything. Time will tell. Part of the reason I say that is that over the past few decades, even when the Republicans were in control, deficit spending continued, homosexual "rights" went forward, education is still a money pit, abortion remains legal; including the so called partial birth abortion, etc., etc., etc. Something that Republicans or Democrats don't have any control over is the continually increasing volume of "junk" that is broadcast, be it music, tee vee ... and the marketing grows because the viewship/listenership grows.

Issachar, does NOT believe in "doom & gloom", negative/positive, etc. ... just what is true and isn't.

***Note it was the Supreme Court that made the ruling that Jerusalem must support the gay rights.....(verse above..the spirit of sodom)

***Now note how the Supreme Court building in Jerusalem represents the spirit of Egypt (obelisks and the capstone with the all-seeing eye on the top of the buliding!

To me a perfect fulfillment of the spirt of Sodom and Egypt in our very day......in Jerusalem!

It's interesting that at least in Western Civilization, Greek and Roman gods and goddesses and occultic symbolism is used extensively in the architecture.

                  Agreed - pretty much

From a very secular, political standpoint, it would take a republican "veto-proof majority" in both houses to substantially turn anything around. That simply isn't going to happen (IMHO.)

From a spiritual standpoint, "We is where we's s'posed to be." Again, IMHO.

Seems like the whole world has the morals of an alley cat now-a-days.

                      Wow!

I saw today that in one poll the vote was tilted 75% in favor of Republican candidates, and 25% in favor of Democrat candidates. That was in the group who said that they were 'extremely' or 'very' concerned about the outcome of the election* - and was imputed to be people who are likely to vote.

                      * (wording is according to PB's best recollection - not a direct quote.)

I think it is likely that Republicans will win some key elections this Fall. But government/politics is only a portion of the problem in this country. The morals of the general population is ... well, like you said somewhere ... something like alley cats. I sent a note to "mods" today about posting an article. I think it says a lot about this matter. I am finding that an awful lot of people in many walks of life .. even within very different age groups ... seem to have the attitude of "whatever ... do what you want." With that going on in a society, the only "turn around" will be by the hand of God. As you know .. "conservative" wins in Nov. will not matter without that.

Issachar, increasingly finding joy only in the things of God .. Thank you Jesus.
