The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • Netanyahu told Clinton no change on settlement issue

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said there is no change in Israel's position to end a moratorium on settlement construction later this month, but urged Palestinians not to abandon fresh peace talks over the issue.

I have to wonder about all the contradictory things we are going to hear in the next week. Everyone from the WH down to the Palestinians will be putting their own spin on everything.

If this is true then Bibi is conceding to Obama as this has been the position of the Quartet all along.
US may give Israel arms in exchange for concessions

...but won't the US also assist the PA in some form?
The only difference being Israel will honor their agreement to concessions and the PA will use any assistance they garner from the US against Israel?

        Even so, come Lord Jesus.

There's an almost limitless supply of posturing and rhetoric. The PlumBob predicts - Bibi will hold firm to his basic tenet of no substantive negotiations. Nothing that involves Jerusalem. Abbas et al will wail and gnash their teeth.

We aren't going to see any resolution of anything from these kinds of negotiations - IMVHO.

The only 'peace' will come after a big blow-up and AC steps in to calm everybody down. Yup, that's what the PlumBob thinks.

The PlumBob also thinks - as the old song used to say ". . . I'll be Long Gone."

I still think there will be great expectations for Mediterranean Union summit.......and that is why it was postponed until November...to further the Israeli/PA negotiations. Obama made a perplexing statement pre-the cancelled June 7th summit......saying he believed great things would be announced come the June 7th summit, so I must womnder about the November summit.

Also,.........a covenant confirmed by many wouldn't happen with just 6 leaders at a gathering such as this (Obama, Blair, Netanyahu, Abbas, Mubarak, King Abdullah II)...but a meeting such as the one proposed for November is a different thing.
