The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

Whatever the outcome, it'll no doubt end with the Israelis getting shafted as usual.

A partial peace deal between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, even if achieved within a year, will not satisfy Washington, a US official said Tuesday.

The American official told reporters in Jerusalem that the upcoming peace summit in Washington aims to strike a full peace agreement between the parties. The official rejected the possibility of "only" a partial or interim peace deal within the timeframe set for the peace talks.

U.S. warns Israel: Refrain from harming peace talks
U.S. President Barack Obama has invested a lot of time on this issue, the official said while stressing how important the talks were for Obama. He added that the president has put his credibility on the line by inviting everyone to the White House and is more invested in this issue than the previous U.S. government was.

Remember this quote from the other thread
    http://wedg.millenniumweekend.org/fo...ad.php?t=32656
"At this point... the only thing that will convince onlookers that US policy has changed will be tangible results.

"Another round of inconclusive 'talks' will just reinforce the growing perception that the United States cannot deliver," Walt said.

The Arab League declared it was extremely concerned with the Israeli position to be put forward in direct talks with the Palestinians, which will be launched in Washington on September 2
They are also questioning Obama without mentioning his name?????

    There it is..... again.
if the (Middle East diplomatic) Quartet doesn't have the ability (for pressure), then the negotiations have no sense," said Tishrin newspaper.
If you are building a OWG and a OWR this is the last thing you want out there.

Amman - Jordanian King Abdullah II is traveling Sunday to Saudi Arabia for consultations with the Saudi leadership ahead of his trip to Washington to attend a six-way meeting on September 1, officials said Saturday.

The Jordanian monarch will have talks with Saudi King Abdullah on the "latest Middle East developments and issues of mutual interest," a royal court statement said.

Saudi Arabia is the author of the Arab peace initiative, which the Palestinians and all Arab states consider a major reference for the direct negotiations.

The Arab peace plan offers Israel full recognition by all Arab states after it pulls out from all territories it occupied in the 1967 Middle East war, including East Jerusalem.

..........as if this is going to happen...pulling out of Jerusalem!
I can't see how anyone out there from the Quartet to the Arab League can actually believe any of this is just going to happen. Abbas and Bibi are no where near an agreement.

I saw this little comment at the end of a Debka article
Indeed, according to debkafile's Washington sources, the prime minister may already be listening to a US proposal to assign the policing of the Jordan Valley and West Bank mountain peaks to NATO troops, most of them American.
    http://www.debka.com/article/8984/
Alone it wouldn't be worthy of posting but with the past comments in articles over the last many years going back to Bush about placing Nato troops in Israel. Bibi insistence there not be foreign troops and Abbas insistence on foreign troops...
It leaves only Israel insisting they not be there.

I know some personally who have changed their thinking regarding Israel, that God has given them 60+ years to repent and come back to Him through Christ, but because of unbelief will once again lose the land. (I, however dont hold this view).
