Hello, friends - Something to think about: if it were you or your family or cousins, or brothers, etc. that had to stay on a cot in an emergency shelter for the next couple of months (or more) wouldn't you want the safety and comfort of a home-like environment and the privacy of your own room to sleep in? If any of you have any spare rooms in your home, please consider listing your offer on this website, http://www.hurricanehousing.org/ , sponsored by the Red Cross. There are over a million people who have lost their homes - those without family or friends to stay with could be in the mass shelters, such as the Astrodome, here in our state for many months. Most have lost everything - no homes or jobs to return to, no insurance, little or no clothes or other possessions. Many have small children that need safety. These are your brothers and sisters in Christ - "whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers, that you do unto me". Please prayerfully consider what you can do. At the very least, please pass this on to whoever you can ASAP. Thanks.
