Help fellowship churches in New Orleans area

our church is sending help to our fellowship churches in the New Orleans area
to help them cope with this tragedy and i hope your church will do likewise.
one mega church our outreach pastor mentioned is totally gone. some 15000 sheep from that church alone wandering in the wilderness

Is there any contact that would allow persons living outside of that area to take homeless family in? I know it's a ways, I live in Michigan and have about half a house we don't don't use.
