The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

    This whole technology is going wild. They are now marketing systems for healthcare. Every employee's badge has a chip - to id the employee.

    Every sink and soap dispenser had a sensor. Every bed has a sensor. Every patient and nursing home resident's bracelet has a sensor.

    When you wash your hands, the computer logs that you washed your hands - it knew you activated the soap dispenser. If you approach a patient without having washed your hands within the last 6 minutes, your badge beeps at you to remind you to wash your hands.

    If a wandering nursing home resident approaches the door, the computer locks the door - and makes a note in the resident's medical record that she/he approached the door. If the resident/patient gets out of bed, the computer logs that. It knows where the patient is - all the time. It knows what medicine the patient got, when, and who gave it. If the dose of medicine is a few minutes late, it alerts the nurse. Etc. ad infinitum....

      That is too funny about the washing hands part. If we could only get that in our building!
      We have a lot of people that don't do that.
      I agree, the technology is out there and it's scary what they can do with it.

        A powerful, good tool. But in this fallen world, the more powerful a good tool, the more powerful it's abuse.
