    Ignore This Thread ... unless you have eyes to see ...

    See the movie at this link. If you haven't seen it yet, it is a hour-twenty well spent. Here is a 30 minute version:



    (edited the above because the original link went away.)

    It is updated to the end of last year. You'll see numbers like the national debt being 8.7 trillion dollars. It is now over 11 trillion. You'll see Federal Government unfunded promises stated as being 53 trillion dollars. It is now over 110 trillion.

    I've stated this example before ... I think I got it from Chuck Missler ... but I'll state it again and using a basic calculator, it's easy to confirm ...

    If someone started a business on the day Jesus was born and this business lost one million dollars per day, 365 days per year; then as of today, that would have to continue another 730 years for that business to have lost one trillion dollars. (one million times 365 divided into one trillion equals 2,739 years)

    We really enjoyed that. I didn't know the US blackmailed England. Threatening to collaspe it in the 50's. Oddly over the ME. Now it seems China could and probably will do the samething to the US.

        Even though this is an older thread, the same principles always are applicable.

        I find it interesting that in the first post, I explain what the debt is in the Autumn of '09, only about a year after the movie came out .. 11 trillion instead of the movie's 8.7 trillion. Now, here we are 3.5 years later and it's 17 trillion .. and growing increasingly faster.

        Just interesting ...

              Obviously, all of this economic theory is wrong. The trillions of dollars we are in debt is obviously not a true problem. I mean, just look at the Dow. Isn't that the real indicator of the health of the economy? Obviously this is said with tongue in cheek.

                Good point GH. Looking at the DOWn as an indicator is like looking at one's new car(s), new pool, new deck, new rooms and new landscaping .. on debt, as an indicator of how financially healthy a family is.

                Obviously, man has lost sight (long ago) of God's 101 economics:
