The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

I guess the constitution is no longer in effect. I would guess that in
the next year we will see much worse than this.

Somebody emailed the cops and got this response

        ---------------

Wesley Cheeks is NOT a Fairfax County police officer, he is a security
officer employed by the Fairfax County Public Schools. You may go to
http://www.fcps.edu to contact the School’s Department of Communication
and Community Outreach concerning this matter. They may also be reached
        by phone at 571-423-1200.

Please accept my apologies for the impersonal reply; however I am trying
to give the several hundred respondents the courtesy of a timely answer.

        Lieutenant Thomas J. Rogers
        Asst Commander, Reston District Station
        Main: 703-478-0904

That was gut-wrenchingly disturbing. No matter if this guy is an official peace officer or a security guard for a school district, he plainly said this isn't America any more.

He's one of those who hate what this nation was before the OOO took over. I'm so glad my ol' granny isn't alive to see this nonsense. She lived 98 years, and died a few years ago, and she was shocked THEN to see what was happening in the world; however, she knew it was Bible prophecy/scripture coming alive.

I've watched this video three times and I don't know..., you could take it two different ways. First, the only reason this particular sign was not allowed was of the disrespectful picture of "o". Note the officer and the person speaking both agreed there were other signs allowed..., but this particular sign had a disrespectful picture. If they both agreed that there were other signs against "o", then we would have to agree that it was the picture and not the officer's bias.

Second, the officer's comment could be taken as either letting the person holding the sign know 'THIS AINT AMERICA ANYMORE" (being a thug type of person, which I didn't see) or "this ain't America" anymore in the way of "it's sad isn't it, that it has come to this, and I'm just doing my job." I didn't hear maliciousness in his voice. I also ask myself if he was a white person saying that would we be hearing it differently. just wondering.

I personally don't care for "o", but a sign with that picture, which has caused so much controversy already, shouldn't be there to begin with. It would be mixing gas and matches together, not a good idea. Oh and I know, lots and lots of disrespectful signs about Bush in the past and no one said boo about it. Well, two wrongs don't make it right.

The disrespectful picture is protected by the First Amendment. See all the pictures of Bush and Cheney the previous 8 years.

This security guard doesn't get to rule on the First Amendment. This type of picture doesn't violate a law other than offending the security guard.

No Joker! Officer probed for saying America 'no more'

Public demands firing, school officials decline to confirm he's 'on staff and on duty'

                  http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=108800

A school security officer in Virginia who told a protester opposing President Obama's health-care plan that America is "no more" remains employed but is now under investigation because of his statements, according to his school district.

"I have to say, I've seen the video. We do not condone what the officer did say," Paul Regnier, the coordinator of communications and community relations for Fairfax County Public Schools told WND today.

WND reported earlier when a YouTube video showed school Security Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. objecting to a protest sign carried at a town-hall meeting held by Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va. The sign read, "Organizing for National Socialist Health Care – The Final Solution." It depicted Obama as the Joker character of Batman films.

"This used to be America," argued a protester outside a health-care town hall meeting in Reston, Va., after Cheeks threatened him with arrest for holding up a sign with a picture critical of Barack Obama. The officer's response?

                  "It ain't no more, OK?"
